We were sent 4 packets of Nothing But, to review, 2 packets of Strawberry and Banana snacks and 2 packets of Pineapple and Grape snacks. We had already tried some Nothing But snacks before in the vegetable snacks so I was interested in what the fruit snacks were like.
Each pack contains 10g of ‘Nothing But’ fruit. It is freeze dried fruit slices. All Nothing But do is cut them up, take out the water and seal them in a bag.
One bag is one of your five a day.

The first bag I tried was the Pineapple and Grape snack, this contains 40 calories per bag. The ingredients is 70% freeze dried pineapple and 30% freeze dried grape. The grapes are red grapes.

I liked the pineapple, it is crunchy but still full of flavour. I didn’t like the grapes as much but this didn’t surprise me as I am not a lover of red grape anyway.

I tried the Strawberry and Banana snack next, this one contains 34 calories per bag and has 66% freeze dried strawberries and 34% freeze dried bananas. Now this was my favourite of the two bags, I absolutely love strawberries and bananas and again the flavour is locked into the fruit even though it has been freeze dried.

As I received two bags of each I gave a packet of each to my youngest daughter too, she had one taste of each fruit and then decided that they would make a healthy topper to her Weetabix in the mornings as she thinks it is boring on its own. The next morning she sprinkled the strawberry and banana on top of her breakfast. She told me it tasted much better. She added the pineapple and grape one on top of her breakfast the following day. Her favourite was the pineapple and grape snack.
I think this is a great way of getting your children and you to eat fruit whether it be as a mid morning snack or school snack or even adding it on top of your breakfast.
I much prefer the fruit snacks from Nothing But and would definitely purchase them again.
