We were asked if we would like to try Kallø Kids Milk Chocolate Rice Cake Minis and as I know these are a much better snack than crisps or chocolate I agreed as I am trying to cut out a lot of fatty and sugary food from my daughters diet.
Kallø is a leading Rice and Corn cake brand in the UK supplying both major multiples and the health food trade. Part of Wessanen UK, Kallø’s goal is to pioneer natural and organic foods with inspiring and challenging brands with passion and innovation.

The rice cake minis come in a small packs of 4 and there are 6 small packs in a big pack. These are a perfect size for packed lunch boxes or to take to school for a healthy snack, they are also nice as an after school snack.

These have rice cake bottom and a milk chocolate layer on top and are only 68 calories for the handy pack of 4. Much less that a packet of crisps!
They are free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives, vegetarian and coeliac friendly and gluten free.
The packaging is aimed at children with foxes and flamingos on the packaging.
My daughter has been replacing her regular packet of crisps for school snack time for the Kallø Kids Milk Chocolate Rice Cakes and at first she told me they tasted a bit weird but a nice weird, I think this is because she had never tried rice cakes before. But she has been asking for them every school day since we received them. I did buy some more as we had ran out and managed to taste them myself. They are a crispy rice cake but the layer of milk chocolate on top makes them taste delicious and it is a great way to get kids to eat them.
We like them and I hope to see different flavours in the Kallø Kids range soon.
They are priced at £1.89 per pack the rice cakes available in Tescos and Waitrose from mid July 2015.
Disclaimer: We received a packet of Kallø Kids Milk Chocolate Rice Cakes for free in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are our own and not influenced in any way.
The package is cute with the Flamingo on it and I love the purple color. I do not think we have them in Fort Worth or I would try them for my son since they are healthy and look yummy.
Although it says kids, I’m always looking for healthy snacks for myself. Not a breakfast eater so even at home, I need healthy stuff.
