Valentine’s Day is the day that is designed for everyone to declare their love for their loved one, be it a spouse, partner or someone that doesn’t even know how you feel..yet.
I was approached by MoonPig and asked if I’d like to review a Valentines Gift from them. I jumped at the chance as I am rarely given flowers.
I received the True Love Gift Set which contained 12 red roses, 3 Ruscus, 1 Lanson Black Label NV Champagne 20CL QUARTER BOTTLE, a Montezuma solid milk chocolate heart with butterscotch pieces and a card.
All of this was delivered via Royal Mail in one big box and came the next day.
Upon opening the box I saw the roses first. They did not look that happy but I suppose if I were stuck in a dark box and moved about for 24 hours I wouldn’t look too happy either when I was released. They were in a fantastic water container that seemed even turning upside down the water did not come out.
I took the roses out of the box and began to arrange them in my vase, giving them fresh water and adding the packet into the water too. It did not take long at all for the roses to perk up and they looked gorgeous.
I love rose buds but I love them more when they start to bloom and a few days later they started to bloom and looked even more fabulous.
I was surprised at how long the roses actually lasted for before they finally wilted. I had a good 9 days out of them and day 10 they were starting to sag but I know fresh cut flowers don’t usually last too long.
The chocolate heart was delicious and it didn’t take me long to finish it, I adore milk chocolate and the butterscotch pieces added to it was just like chocolate heaven with a crunch. It did not leave an after taste and I could definitely eat more of those.
I have not actually tried the Lanson Black Label NV Champagne yet as I am on medication that doesn’t allow me to have alcohol with but I will definitely be trying it as soon as I am off the medication. I love the cute little bottle.
