If you are anything like me, when you want to read in the garden or in the evenings or gaming, even watching TV for a film, you want to sit in comfort, there is nothing worse than being uncomfortable and wiggling around constantly. I have this trouble. Our sofa is okay but in warmer weather, because it is leather, if I have shorts on I get stuck to it. And the patio chairs serve a purpose but are not the most comfortable of chairs.
I was asked if I would like to review a bean bag armchair and I had to accept, especially as the weather is warmer now. I do like to sit and read in the garden at every given opportunity.
The bean bag armchair I received was the ICON Oria Bean Bag Armchair in Slate Grey colour. There are 6 colours to choose from; Slate Grey, Sage Green, Teal, Navy, Terracotta and Mustard so a colour for any decor really.
The Bean Bag Armchair arrived in a box and upon opening the box I found that all I had to do was pull it out of the box and I could use it straight away.
The fabric used is very thick and the double stitching looks very strong and sturdy. On the underside is the zip but the head of the zip is covered.
The top of the bean bag armchair reminds me of a banana in shape on the back side of that is a handle with the ICON logo on it. This is a carry handle which makes it so easy to move it around the house and garden.
It is as wide as it is tall at 98cm x 97cm and has FreeFlow technology inside, which means it allows the beads to move freely. The armchair is not overfilled with beads but is not underfilled either. It has about the right amount to allow for them to mould around you properly and give the support needed.
So what are my thoughts?
Well, WHEN I get to actually sit on it, as my youngest child seems to have laid claims on it, I am very comfortable, I like that it is raised from the floor, plenty enough that my hips don’t seize up. Yes, I am getting old. The armrests and backrest is a great idea as it supports the back perfectly and it feels quite cosy and snuggly.
I move this in and outdoors frequently, and because it is lifted by the top of the backrest the beads it tends to not be as wide as when sat on so fits through without trouble. It is quite lightweight which surprised me.
I love the slate grey colour as it goes with the decor in my living room, and it means extra seating if we have guests which is a huge factor, it looks modern and it’s comfortable even for those with back problems.
It is easy to move about, if I want a bit of extra space for something, I can move it upstairs or in another room with ease.
I absolutely love it to chill out and read, watch TV and do a bit of gaming with the kids. I can sit on it for long periods of time without aches. It is definitely getting a 10 out of 10 from us.
