We are part of the Ideal Games Group with John Adams which means we get to test and review games and we were really happy when we opened our package to find Doh-Nutters. This is a game that we have seen advertised on the television a lot and the children have asked several times if they could get it.
Inside the box is;
4 x Elephant masks with adjustable straps, 12 x plastic doughnuts 1 game board.
I knew as soon as we received it that we would be giggling so much.
The rules are, each player takes a mask and all three doughnuts of the same colours as their mask. Younger children might just play with 2 doughnuts each.
The playing board must be put somewhere where all players can reach with their trunks comfortably, we put it on the floor but a table is good too.
When everyone has put their masks on and are ready the youngest player shouts start. Using their trunks only the players must scoop their own coloured doughnuts as fast as possible on their trunks. The first to get all three is the winner.
This was just too much to handle for my age I must admit, not because of the bending but because of the fun we had. We all ended up bashing trunks and giggling so much I was almost wetting myself as was both of my daughters. It is so much fun trying to scoop the doughnuts up with our trunks. I did find it a little easier if I turned my trunk so it was at a little bit of an angle as it seemed to scoop up better.
Getting two doughnuts onto the trunks was a doddle, the third one was very tricky as while reaching for it one of the other doughnuts would fall off the trunk.
We really haven’t had as much fun with any other game as we have with Doh-Nutters and we would definitely recommend it to everyone.
