Wow today I wish I had not got out of bed. First I wake up, the alarm clock has not gone off and is blank, thinking I have over slept a lot as it was light outside I ran around like a headless chicken trying to find somewhere that displays the time. It seemed nothing was on my side. I finally managed to wake my husband up and he states it is 7:50am. Thankfully I can just about get my daughter sorted ready for school in that time. I get downstairs and the lights are working, that is odd I thought to myself but no sockets are working oh and no heating. Great. So no a regular power cut then.
The boiler is tripping the switch every time we reset it, it just trips again. After waiting until 3:30pm for the electrician to come and check that everything socket-wise is safe we can now use the sockets. But still we have no heating and hot water. Typical that is the today that we are forecast the snow.
I guess it is just lucky we have some coal and logs to burn on the fire to keep us a little warm although it is only keeping one room warm so we are going to the loo and in any other room with our coats on. Sitting at my computer to write this post you would laugh, I have a red nose as it is so cold and gloves on. Now I have finished this post I have going to sit by the fire again.
Roll on bed time, wrapped up as Eskimos with hot water bottles.
