Who has tried vaping with a high end mod and found that they can’t draw much back without choking? I know I have. A vape is substitute for smoking, however techniques vary, mouth to lung and direct to lung. My preference is mouth to lung, but with a lot of cloud I do sometimes choke. So when I was offered the chance to review the Wizmec CB80 vape kit which is designed to have a tighter draw, similar to cigarettes I was overjoyed. Hopefully no more choking!
The Wizmec CB80 (Check Bunny) is the latest version and is designed to look like a high end vape mod. It is primarily designed for mouth to lung vapers; vapers who prefer a more restricted vape similar to that of smoking and who prioritise flavour over vapour. It gives a tighter draw which is more similar to a cigarette and it is compatible with high nicotine e-liquids and designed for nicotine salts, which is brilliant as it allows you to vape higher nicotine levels without a harsh hit on the back of your throat.
Wattage range: 1.-80 watts
Coil resistance (wattage): 0.05-3.5ohm
Coil resistance (tc mode): 0.05-1.5ohm
Voltage Range: 0.5-9V
Temperature Range: 100-315°C/200-600°F (TC mode)
Maximum Charging Current: 2A
Cell type: high-rate 18650 cell (discharging current should be above 25A)
It comes with 2A quick charging which I have tested via USB and it does indeed charge fast, I can’t remember how long exactly but from a very low battery to fully charged was just over an hour which surprised me. However it is recommended to charge the battery with an external charger, like with most vape mods that take individual batteries rather than an internal battery.
You also get spare glass, coil and ‘O’ rings in the box.
The Wizmec CB80 also gives you a fast vape, it fires just 25 milliseconds after hitting the fire button!
It has a basic digital screen with 2 buttons which again I like because too many buttons can get confusing.
The instruction leaflet gives all information on how to power it on and off which you do by pressing the fire button 5 times quickly. The Stealth function allows you to turn the screen on or off. There is a key lock function a switch the display mode that turns the screen around. You can shift among VW/Bypass/TC-NI/TC-DD/TCR modes, adjust the wattage, shift among current, puff and time.
There’s malfunction indication and protection so when the device doesn’t detect an atomizer the OLED screen will display ‘No Atomizer Found’ it also gives you alerts when the atomizer is low or if there is a short circuit, which I think is a great feature.
I received the orange Wizmec CB80 and the first thing I liked was the size, it is absolutely perfect for feminine hands, it is not bulky and just fits in the hand nicely. Obviously men will like this design too but as I am female I am giving my opinion from my point of view.
First thing I did was pop a battery in and charge it. Once that was done it was time to prime the coil and then fill it with e-liquid. I was sent Vampire Vape Raspberry Sorbet 3mg/ml nicotine 10ml e-liquid which is a VG:PG ratio of 50:50 and 50ml 0mg nicotine Koi Yatsuhashi: Cinnamon Rice Pudding which has a VG:PG ratio of 80:20 and also 2 10ml bottles of Plusnic Nicotine Booster which was 18mg. The first thing I did with both the flavours was open them and have a sniff of course! There wasn’t really a strong scent coming from the Raspberry Sorbet but the cinnamon rice pudding smelt lovely, considering I am not a cinnamon and rice pudding lover I was surprised but I had to put this in my Wizmec CB80 first.
Filling it was so easy, you just push gently where the arrow is on the top of the atomizer and it slides revealing a little opening to put your liquid in. Once you have finished simply push it back to how it was.
Time to fire it up, the drip tip is a perfect size for me, not too big. The first draw and I could notice the restricted draw straight away, which was perfect for me, but WOW the flavour was immense which is a huge positive for me. I mean you don’t by e-liquid flavours to get barely any flavour to them do you? Well with this device you get all the flavour, seriously.
The design is really nice with honeycomb grip down the back of the device and honeycomb drip tip. It does have a bottom airflow which I have said before I am not keen on, however I have not had any problems with e-liquid leaking from it yet. When firing the mod a green light glows each side of the device.
I do like that it is a small slender device, and not bulky or heavy like some but does just the same job, if not in my opinion better. It fits in my bag, and pocket nicely.
The only thing I would have liked to see in the box is an anti slip band, as they do protect the glass of the tank well.
I have tried the Wizmec CB80 now with both the cinnamon rice pudding which I absolutely loved and the Raspberry Sorbet, which although sounded so delicious I wasn’t as keen on it, it did give an ok flavour just not for me, maybe it was because I am used to 0mg nicotine. It didn’t give the harsh hit at the back of my throat though which is a good thing.
All in all apart from the Aspire Revvo which is my favourite mod, this Wizmec CB80 comes a very close second.
You can purchase the Wizmec CB80 from the E-Cigarette Direct website.
I am giving away a Wizmec CB80 kit, Vampire Vape Raspberry Sorbet and Koi Yatsuhashi: Cinnamon Rice Pudding e-Liquids.
