Have you heard of PlayMais? I must admit that we had not heard of it up until a few weeks ago when we were offered the chance to review some. We received PlayMais World Princess and PlayMais Mosaic Dream Fairy and it wasn’t long before my daughter spotted them and asked if she could start making things with them.
PlayMais is made of corn starch, water and food colouring, that is it so they are natural and biodegradable.

PlayMais are really a brilliant as they are coloured baked corn starch and that is in. Inside the pack of the Princess pack was 1000 different coloured puffs, along with a plastic knife for cutting the puffs if needed, 12 cards with princesses on which you can cut and stick the PlayMais to, instructions and a small length of cloth which you soak with water, wring out and is ready to go.

The PlayMais Mosaic Dream Fairy is slightly different from the Princess one as they are much smaller pieces. In this box is over 2300 PlayMais mosaic pieces, 6 pre-printed cards, instructions and a cloth.

My daughter did check the box to see what she was supposed to do and was well on her way. She didn’t quite understand how to stick the PlayMais together at first until I told her that they are similar to corn puff snacks when you put water to them they fizz and makes them a bit sticky and all she needed to do was to put the PlayMais onto the wet cloth for a second and it would then stick to another piece.

We poured all of the PlayMais into a big bowl so she could get at them easily and she began her creations. She was in her element, first making princesses and then getting creative making other things. Sheep, Snowmen, even Nemo. She loves to cut and stick the PlayMais and once she has made her creation she will start thinking of what to make next.

As the PlayMais Mosaic is smaller pieces we haven’t gotten around to use these yet as I haven’t got a bowl big enough to pour them in as it is still full with the Princess PlayMais so we will be posting our review of that one very soon.

PlayMais World Princesses is suitable for ages 3 years and up RRP. £16.99 and PlayMais Mosaic Dream Fairy is suitable for ages 5 years and up RRP £10.95.
