When I was a child the ice cream van came regularly to our street, not only did he sell ice cream and lollies but also sweets and crisps.
I thought those days were gone when to my shock Monday evening I heard an ice cream van with a catchy jingle playing. Now, this may not have shocked a lot of you but I live in the most remote village I have ever come across. No bus, no shop, no school no nothing really apart from fields surrounding us and about 8 houses around me.
So when I heard the jingle I got rather excited as it bought back so many memories.
Skye wanted her first ever whippy ice cream so I got her one and then every day since apart from Wednesday when she was very disappointed that he didn’t show, she has had a whippy ice cream, which I really don’t mind as its a little treat to look forward to.
So we come to Saturday and she decides she doesn’t want whippy ice cream and wants a blue ice lolly like her friend (our neighbour) had on Friday.
I agreed if she wants a change that’s her choice.
Here is Skye after she had eaten her BLUE ice lolly!

Ok so she doesn’t look too bad here as Daddy has already wiped her up a bit, OMG she has blue hands and face she looked like she was turning into a Smurf!
She neglected to tell us the reason she wanted the blue lolly was it turned her friend blue on Friday!
Today she wants a GREEN one… shudder… she will look like the Incredible Hulk!
