Hear Me Roar! – 365 Project – Day 30

Another stressful day in the Stressed Rach household but it started off so well. The engineer came with the part for the boiler and we thought it was fixed and after 11 days with no heating all radiators were cold and the type of heating we have it can take a while for them to heat up and heat up they did. We were starting to get comfortably warm again which was a lovely feeling.  Two hours later, the fan stopped turning, we thought this rather odd so checked the boiler and the red light was flashing meaning there was malfunction. Smiley faces now sunk and with another call to the engineer he told us the malfunction code was the fan unit but someone that specialises in them will be here this afternoon to try and get it up and running. I just knew we were in for yet another extremely cold weekend, this boiler is a right pain in the butt, yeah good when working but jeez how many things can go wrong with it at the same time.

The man came and he did spend a long while trying to sort it to no avail. The compressor needs re-gassing and a new head unit needs putting in a 5+ hour job and at 3.30pm he didn’t have enough time to do that today. So first thing Monday now.

If that doesn’t work we will be waiting longer as it will be a new fan unit needed and has to be ordered yet again from Belgium.

I think someone has it in for us at the moment everything is going wrong.

When I saw this cloud in the sky just as the sun was setting it reminded me of a roaring dragon and it was quite ironic as if I was a dragon today people would have heard me roar and breathing fire too,  I was totally naffed off.

We were given 2 convector heaters though to get us by and I bought one too so we have one in for emergencies in the future so we are quite toasty.
