Friends and Disney Top Trumps Quiz

Friends and Disney, two things that many people like, but I bet they never knew you could get a Top Trumps Quiz about them. We were sent one of each to review and here are our thoughts.

Now my oldest daughter is crazy for Friends, she has been watching all the episodes on Netflix as she wasn’t old enough to watch them when they were originally on the TV. Whereas I was crazy over them in the ’90s and watched them all. Friends give you a feel-good factor that you don’t get as much of in today’s TV shows. But do we really pay attention to what went on in the shows? That is what we were going to find out by quizzing each other with the Friends Top Trumps Quiz.

So first let me tell you a little about it. The Friends Top Trumps Quiz with a twist has 500 questions on cards. You store the cards in the white plastic container and each side pull out. Each card has one side with 5 questions and the other side has the answers on and they are questions on one subject, for example, Phoebe songs, The Gellers etc. The questions are in yellow, the answers, in red.

How to play;

Split into two teams. Shuffle and deal five cards to each team. Teams take it in turns to read question one to the other team.

The team to answer correctly wins both cards. If both teams answer correctly then both move onto question two on the same card, keep going until one team gets a question wrong.

Once you win three pairs of cards, you win and it’s time to try the ‘Twist’.

Were you paying attention? Collect the same ten cards, shuffle and deal them again and play with the same rules starting with question one.

Can you remember what you heard moments ago? Feel your mind twist and turn as you try and remember the answers you just heard.

First to collect three pairs of cards wins the game.

So it seems after playing this that we don’t know as much as we thought we did, the questions were quite hard but we did have fun playing it. As there are 500 questions we will be playing this for a long time before we run out of questions, and we could probably go through them again and we would probably have forgotten the answers to them so lots of fun.

The Friends Top Trumps Quiz is available from Amazon priced right now at £9.99

The Disney Top Trumps Quiz comes in a blue box in the same style as the Friends one and is played in the same way. Again there are 500 questions on the cards with one side having the questions and the other side having the answers. The quiz question cards are different categories, so you could get Monsters Inc questions or you could get The Little Mermaid questions, it features all the great Disney movies.

I did find some of the questions difficult as I had not watched the films so I pretty much flunked those, but with the ones I had watched, I did get most right. We had great fun with this one. Although my daughter did often say “Mum how do you not know that?” Well, my memory isn’t as great as it used to be and it was a while since I watched the films.
