We have reviewed a few Degustabox’s on our blog over the past few months and we were asked if we would like to review June’s Degustabox too.
If you haven’t heard of Degustabox it is a surprise box full of products usually food or drink and some are just coming out on the market.
This is what was in our June Degustabox;
A can of Estrella Damm Spanish lager which is internationally known as the ‘Beer of Barcelona’. I do not like lager myself so I gave it to my husband who will have the occasional can once in a while. He said he liked the taste of it, I thought it just smelt like any other lager but he assured me that it may smell like it but it does taste a lot nicer than some he has tried.
I have only seen 330ml bottles of Estrella Damm in the supermarket and it costs around £4 for 4 bottles.
Elizabeth Shaw’s Milk Chocolate Flutes, If you remember last month I received the dark chocolate flutes, this month was the turn on milk chocolate. These taste lovely, the chocolate is very smooth, although I ate these for something to pick at they would probably be better suited being had with a cup of coffee with guests or used as decorations for cakes which is what I will be doing with the few I have left.
These cost around £2.59 per box.
Urban Fruit Smashing Strawberry snack pack is full of gently baked strawberries. I absolutely loved these, as they were so fruity and they are a healthy snack too. Urban Fruits also come in Pineapple and Mango packs too and I will definitely be looking out for them.
They cost around £1.09 per pack.
BEAR Alphabites cereal are a crunchy and healthy cereal. It has no sugar or salt, they use coconut blossom nectar to make them naturally sweet that kids will love.
My daughter loved these, even though I am always telling her not to play with her food this is one time she is allowed. She loves to make names and words with the cereal making breakfast time a fun time.
Bear Alphabites cost around £2.69 per box.
Strawberry Lambrini, well what can I say about this? I love Lambrini and is one of the only wine style drinks I will actually drink and enjoy. I love strawberries too so this is a fantastic combination. It tasted delicious and it wasn’t long before it had all gone. Oops.
Strawberry Lambrini costs around £3.29 per bottle.
Veetee Basmati & Wild Rice is a microwavable rice that is ready in minutes. I wasn’t sure if I would like this as I have never eaten wild rice before, however I really enjoyed it. The rice was soft and fluffy which I was surprised at as the only way of cooking rice to make it like that is by using a rice cooker. I would buy this if I saw it on the shelf at my local supermarket.
Veetee also have Wholegrain Brown Rice and Egg Friend Rice in their range. It costs around £1.49 per tub.
Be Fast is a breakfast drink that is high in fibre , low in fat and packed with vitamins, minerals and protein. It is perfect for the mornings when you do not have time to make breakfast. I was send 2 banana flavours there are also strawberry, chocolate and vanilla flavours in the range.
I really like this milkshake breakfast drink. It is a small bottle and it fits easily in my bag until I get a free minute to drink it. After drinking this I have not been hungry for a good few hours afterwards and it is really refreshing.
Be Fast costs £1 per bottle.
The last item we received was DR. Oetker Madagascan Vanilla Grinder, I could have done with this a few weeks beforehand when I made so vanilla ice cream as I could not find any real vanilla anywhere and had to use extract instead.
I really like this, it is so easy to use. There is a fine or coarse grinding option and is good for baking and adding a dash of vanilla to a drink. It costs around £4.99
