At the end of February we received yet another great parcel from Degustabox, we were really excited to see what was in the box, I think the kids are more excited than me these days.
Degustabox is a surprise food and drinks monthly subscription box.
Here is what we received;

Hartley’s – Hartley’s 10 Cal pots are delicious and at less than 10 calories per pot fit into even the most restrictive diet, perfect for your New Year’s resolution! And introducing new Hartley’s Fruit in Jelly pots, tasty jelly pots bursting with fruit pieces in a range of scrumptious flavours.
We received 2 pots of 10 Cal and 2 pots of Fruit in Jelly, Unfortunately one of the 10 cal pots was partly opened on arrival, which leaked and looked like it had gone off so I had to throw it, I did manage to get to taste the other pot though. It was strawberry and raspberry and it tastes okay. I wouldn’t say it was the best as it didn’t taste as fruity but it was edible.
We loved the Fruit in Jelly pots, which was peach pieces in strawberry jelly. These made a nice change to other jellies we have tried and we ate them pretty much straight away.

Sarson’s – Sarson’s, the UK’s number one vinegar brand, is set to launch a new limited edition Malt Vinegar bottle featuring its well loved ‘Fish and Chip’ characters created by artist Paul Thurlby.
Sarson’s is the only vinegar we will buy so this was a nice addition to the Degustabox, especially as we were running out of our current bottle.

Mr Kipling – New Exceedingly Good Slices. A moist golden oat cake with tasty wholesome ingredients like fruit, coconut and oats for a delicious permissible treat! Chocolate & Coconut: Dark chocolate chips a sprinkle of coconut and topped with British jumbo oats. Fruity Cranberry & Orange: Sprinkled with honey toasted British oats.
I do like Mr Kipling cakes anyway but had not seen these before, we received Fruity Cranberry & Orange oat cakes. I really liked these. They were individually packaged so I could eat just one. They were very fruity and delicious. I would buy these again.

Beloved Dates Our Beloved Bars are 100% natural, no added sugar, and the only cereal bar bound with natural date nectar! They’re made from the finest ingredients, all tumbled gently and cold pressed together to fuse the flavours and lock in the goodness. There are simply no other cereal bars like them.
I am trying to add more seeds but they do seem a bit bland and I am not one for cereals so these were the perfect alternative for me. They actually tasted really nice. I was surprised at how nice they were.

Nutribix – Nutribix is a wholegrain cereal. With Gold and Grains we’ve lovingly created what we believe is the crunchiest, tastiest and most delicious breakfast around. Using coconut, honey and the ancient grain Sorgham this makes the perfect choice for anyone who really wants to get going in the morning.
Wholegrain cereal is supposed to be a lot better for you so we all gave these a try, swapping from our regular cereal. These taste really good and keep energy levels up for a long while after eating them.

VitHit – VitHit – The Juice based soft drink with 100% Recommended Daily Allowance of 8 different vitamins, no added sugar and with fewer than 35 calories per bottle. With health giving teas and minerals for overall wellbeing VitHit contains real juice and no preservatives, artificial colourings or flavourings.
I am not a lover of fruit teas and knew what this would taste like before I tried it, I didn’t like it. However my daughter does like fruit teas, although she hasn’t tried many cold ones she really liked this one.

Divine – Do you have a soft spot for caramel? Mid-afternoon is just the time for a sweet treat, which is why Divine Caramel bars hit the 3 o’clock #DivineSoftSpot! All Divine products are Fairtrade, natural, suitable for vegetarians and free from Palm oil. Divine Caramel Bars are available to buy at Tesco, Oxfam, Traidcraft & divinechocolate.com
My husband ate the dark chocolate and I had the milk chocolate caramel bar. These were really nice, smooth and tasty, just what you would expect from a chocolate bar.

Ritz – Ritz Crisp & Thin are a delicious new oven-baked potato snack that brings a touch of glamour to any situation, so whether you’re snacking solo or amongst friends you can always Put on the Ritz!
As I have an allergy to black pepper I could not try these so my husband and daughter tried them. They are like Ritz crackers/biscuits that have been flattened with a rolling pin so a lot thinner. Both my husband and my daughter enjoyed these.

J2O – Developed by J2O’s blend masters, the J2O Spritz range has been carefully crafted to combine delicate bubbles with crisp blended fruits. Created specifically for adults, Spritz offer a deliciously light taste experience which at no more than 63 calories per 275ml bottle is the perfect accompaniment to great food.
I like J2O anyway so I was looking forward to trying these, and I was not disappointed, the drinks are very fruity, just as I had expected. I couldn’t really decide which one I liked the best because both were different but delicious. Especially straight from the fridge.

The London Crisp Company – Hand-coupled in the heart of the capital, our great tasting crisps combine classic crunch with no-nonsense flavours. Each of our 5 delicious flavours take inspiration from a different area of the fantastic capital city of London and they can be found in Fuller’s pubs across London, as well as in Waitrose, Tesco and Selfridges.
These are what I would describe as ‘posh crisps’ They were thicker than regular crisps. We received salt and vinegar flavour and the flavouring was just right, I shared these with my daughters and they agreed with me.

Db’s Discoveries
Nothing But – Nothing But, a healthy freeze dried fruit and vegetable snack, all under 80 calories and no added…anything! You no longer have to choose between something nutritious and something tasty as Nothing But will bring you both, what’s more is that one packet will count towards 1 of your 5 a day!
We have tried these before. We received the Sliced Beetroot & Parsnips snack and Apple & Fig snack. We were not all that keen on the beetroot one as it was very earthy tasting, the parsnips were quite nice though. We liked the Apple and Fig ones though, I think the whole family prefer the fruit varieties of the snacks.
