Getting a photo of the whole family is a complete nightmare pulling funny faces, looking away, even walking out of shot. We gave up trying to get one after a while but there are alternatives. How about a Family Portrait with cartoon stick figures? Okay so it’s not the traditional family portrait but I guarantee it will be a talking point.
We were offered the change to review a framed Cartoon Stick Figure Family Portrait from Posterhaste and jumped at the chance and I got to personalised it all myself too.
I visited the website and found the Family Portrait item, then clicked ‘personalise this design now’ this brought me to a new page where I had a few choices. Print in Landscape, Portrait with a choice of 4 sizes each and Print in Square in 2 different sizes. There was Poster in Landscape, Portrait or Square in bigger sizes. Boxed Canvas and Framed Print which I chose in Landscape and 16” x 12” in a 28” x 20” frame.
From there I could choose the colour of the frame I wanted, black, white, natural or dark brown. As my décor is black and magnolia I chose black.
Scrolling down a bit further I could choose the colour scheme I’d like, there are 12 to choose from I chose black text on white background.
Now we get to the personalising. Title or Family Name, I entered The Simons Family.
Following on from there I could add family members by clicking the pink + Add Family Member button.
I could add the name of the family member, whether they are man, woman, older man, older woman, teen boy, teen girl, bigger boy, bigger girl, little boy, little girl, baby, pet tortoise, pet fish, pet dog, pet cat, pet chicken pet rabbit or pet horse. Choosing the colour of their clothing out of 10 colours, expressions out of 11, 20 different hairstyles, 8 different accessories and even the additional option for a wheelchair.
When I was happy with my first person I pressed save. Click on the Update Preview to view the print. I tried to make a point of adding a favourite colour of things that define each person.
Dad with his glasses, Mum with lips, Tiffany with her hair in a bun and her favourite colour clothing. Skye with her favourite colour and wearing headphones as she always has them on. Zander with messy hair.
Then it was on to check out and wait for it to arrive.
The Family Portrait arrived within a week, packaged very well so it couldn’t get damaged in transit and it was ready to hang as soon as it was out of the box.
Rog hung it straight away and it looks really amazing on my wall. I am so impressed with it. The quality of the frame is very good as is the whole piece.
I really love that when Zander who is only 2 years old looks at it he can point out who is who on the print because of the special added extras on the stick people.
Posterhaste has a lot of amazing personalised gifts, this Family Portrait, Star Maps, Typography’s, Word Shapes with lots of different options, there is something for everyone.
