Lily and Hannah have been best friends for a very long time, she thought she could trust her, when Lily and her husband Jon decided to treat the older two children to some family time at a theme park, they asked Hannah to join them. She loved baby Ella so it made sense her coming so she could watch her while Lily and Jon both went on the rides with the children. Hannah was like one of the family too.
They all get on the rollercoaster and Lily has a niggling feeling something’s not quite right. As soon as the ride ends she looks in the direction that Hannah was and she has gone, along with baby Ella!
Told in Lily and Hannah’s points of view we learn more about both characters, and why Hannah decides to take baby Ella. It is full of emotion and a lot of worry and sadness, secrets are kept and eventually they come out. Even best friends don’t know everything about each other it seems.
This was a thoroughly gripping book with not only one story but several intertwined. It was fantastic.

Sam Vickery is an English author who loves gritty, emotional stories that can make you sob. As a child, she was forever getting in trouble for being caught with her nose in a book, and these days are no different. She lives on the south coast of England with her husband, two children and a cat that thinks it’s a dog.
