It is the first of October which means Blogtober is happening where bloggers write a post a day every day of the month. Obviously lives, work and things do happen so it isn’t strict. It is just a way of publishing more posts on your blog for that month. I’m totally up for this as you will be getting to know more about me, the family and my viewpoints on some things too, but I warn you now, with a crazy toddler in tow I don’t know if I will be able to post every day and if I do whether it will be posted in the morning or evening. It all depends on how the day is going.
I actually hate writing anything that is about myself, it feels so unnatural to do so, it was hard enough writing the About Me section for the blog. Right, let’s do this…

I am Rachel aka Rach, the stressed one, Stressed Rach, yep I am a bit of a stress head. The name Stressed Rach came about a while before I started blogging, it was actually the name of my gaming tag as I get super stressed when playing games so it kind of fit. Then when I had to think of a name for the blog I really couldn’t think of anything. I suppose looking back I could have chosen a lot of things, mum to girls, mum with hope but no I didn’t want the blog name to be Mum anything, even though I am a mum. So there you have it, 8 years on and we are still Stressed Rach.
I am 41 years old although I don’t feel it at all, still feel in my 20’s. Age is but a number, the grey hairs have started sprouting and the fine lines are appearing, they are the tell-tale signs that I am not as young as I’d like to be, but hey I’m me, wrinkles and all.

I met my husband Roger in March 2006 through an online dating site, we met just a week or so after chatting, and that year was kind of a whirlwind with our engagement 3 weeks later, married after 6 months and 9 months from meeting each other we welcomed our daughter into the world. Jee,z that happened fast. We have now been married for 12 years so obviously it was meant to be.

I am Mum to 3 children. Tiffany is the oldest, she is 21 now, she used to pop on the blog quite a bit when she was a teen, sadly she has flown the nest and living with her boyfriend. Thankfully she is just up the road and she is constantly messaging me so it is like she still lives with us half the time.

Skye is our youngest daughter she is 11 and just started Secondary school. Ways to describe her is intelligent, happy go lucky, Roblox addict and messy (you should see her ‘floordrobe’).
We have had secondary fertility issues which threw the close age gap between our youngest two right out of the window. Our journey through that time has been documented on the blog.

We were shocked to conceive Zander naturally after all that. He is now 28 months old, terrible two’s, a crazy toddler who doesn’t sit still. Heck, he didn’t sleep through the night properly until a few weeks ago. Having a boy after girls is harder than I thought it would be, he is more demanding than the girls ever were. Some days we still can’t believe we have our miracle little boy. We are still hoping that we may be blessed with one more child. You never know hey!

We have a few pets, 2 Shih Tzus called Gizmo and Peppa, they are getting old now, 11 we have a 6 month old kitten called Taz and 2 corn snakes called Phoenix and Luna.

We live in the beautiful countryside in Suffolk, it is secluded with no bus service or a shop which is a pain when the weather is bad or the car breaks down, but it is a lovely area to bring up kids. I couldn’t picture us living anywhere else.

When I am not blogging I have a few things I like to do including playing World of Warcraft, cross stitching, knitting, crocheting. I am a binge watcher, I will search through Netflix or Amazon Prime and see how many seasons of a particular show has if it has a decent amount I will binge watch it.

I am addicted to wax melts I have way too many of them and Rog is always moaning about the amount I have but at least my home smells nice.
I also have a bit of a problem with books. I use my Kindle a lot but I have an extensive amount of paperbacks and hardbacks on my books shelves, another thing Rog moans about, I will get round to reading them all, I promise. I am on a book ban right now, I can have Kindle books but no more physical books until the shelves are a bit clearer.
Right, I think that’s enough for now before I bore you all to death haha.

I totally get it. It is so hard to write about your self. I can write about my girls and my fella all day but struggle when it comes to myself.
I have an 11 year old and she sounds exactly like yours. My favourite words to are lately is switch Roblox off and tidy your room. lol
It’s lovely to learn more about you. Good luck with Blogtober. x
I am glad someone else finds it a struggle writing about themselves. Haha yes, get off that laptop and do your room now. Although a strange thing happened, yesterday evening she tidied her room WITHOUT being asked 😮 lol
LOVE your red hair in the first pic! I also love that your gamer tag is your blog name. My old gamer tag is my youtube handle haha! #blogtober
Thank you, the red is Directions Pillar box Red although it is so high maintenance I have to do it every 2 weeks, so considering just getting it stripped and highlighted.
My friend changed her FB name to her gamer tag lol
You were so clever not using mum in your blog name – I feel like I can’t be “Tee” on mine, only Mum. #blogtober
Sometimes I’d like to have mum in there now that I have a younger child but at least when they have grown I won’t have to change the name
Welcome to blogtober, I love finding out more about the person behind the blog! I am looking forward to finding out lots more during the month
Thank you, can’t wait to get to know everyone that is participating 🙂
I’m not a blogger as I wouldn’t know where to start but have been following your blog for a while. It is nice to get the opportunity to learn more about you (don’t always have time to read older posts).
Ho tonkatol, thank you for reading my little old blog and leaving a reply. I hope you get to know more about me as the month goes on. 🙂
Welcome to Blogtober girl! You have a beautiful family! Looking forward to seeing more from you 🙂
Thank you 🙂
This is a great post! I too am a binge watcher, book and wax melt addict! I totally understand where your coming from there! 🙂 You have a lovely little family, so glad to read you had your little boy after your secondary fertility issues. Looking forward to reading more as #blogtober goes on x
Thank you, sounds like we have a lot in common 🙂
I can’t believe how old Skye is now, that seemed to have gone in the blink on an eye. I have known you online since I started blogging and you were always so supportive when I kept asking questions. Thank you so much for always being there.
I know, time is flying by. Aww you are so welcome I only did what anyone would have done x
