Toot Sweet Children’s Cupcake Kit

I was asked if I’d like to review something from Dazzle and I chose to review the Toot Sweet Children’s Cupcake Set. Although we had no birthdays apart from an 18th coming up I thought my daughter, friends and family  would still appreciate them as we do make cupcakes quite often.

Inside the box is;
24 cupcake cases
24 assorted toppers

These are made from a French company and have a French theme on the toppers.

My oldest daughter wanted to make the cakes for my youngest daughter as she has recently had some problems at school and she wanted to cheer her up and who am I to argue with that?
The first thing we noticed was the cupcake cases were thicker than the ones that I buy from the supermarket which already showed the quality of the kit. The toppers were also of a fantastic quality made with a thick card and beautifully decorated.

My daughter only made 12 cupcakes as she wanted to save some for the summer holidays when we have the grandchildren round so they can enjoy them too.
She used 6 of the white cases and 6 of the red cases and 3 of each design of the toppers.

Cupcakes or fairy cakes are very easy to make, I think it is one of the first recipes a girl learns when learning to bake and so my daughter did this all by herself without any help from me, but she is 18 so she shouldn’t need help anyway.

All I had to do was check whether the cakes were baked enough as she was worried they were under done and then burning.
Everything turned out okay though with no under done cakes and none were burnt. She waited until the cakes were cooled and added icing using icing sugar and water and adding sprinkles to them.
The finishing touch was adding the toppers.

 

I think she did a fantastic job considering it is the first time she has made cakes without any help and they look great.
They tasted really nice too. Well done Tiff!
