The Gruffalo is a big deal to little kids, they seem to love him, so what better present to get them this Christmas than a Gruffalo Gift Set. We were sent one from The Personalised Gift Shop to review and I knew my son would love it.
The Gruffalo Gift Set is available with a choice of either a soft Gruffalo or Mouse you or you can have both, with a board book of The Gruffalo and a personalised with a name, natural cloth bag.
The Gruffalo book was originally published in 1999 and it has sold over 13 million copies worldwide. It is one of the children’s favourite bedtime storybooks.
What I liked was that the book is a board book, so even with a heavy-handed child, it is less likely to get ripped than a paperback. Zander loves the story and asks me to read it to him all the time. The book is chunky as it is board so he can flip the pages easily.
The Gruffalo and Mouse toys are plush and small enough for proper little cuddles while reading the book or just bedtime cuddles. They are well made and have a lot of detail for the size of them.
Then we have the personalised natural cotton back, it has a drawstring top and on the front has a big Gruffalo paw print with the personalisation in our case it is Zander’s, so it says Zander’s stroll through the deep dark wood. It is a nice size, perfect putting some books in, or small plush toys.
We have used ours when we are visiting people during the day, so he has his things to play with as not everyone has toys at their house suitable for him. This way he is happier as he has something to do.
