Kids need storage solutions. Otherwise, their belongings end up all over the house, resulting in mess and chaos. If you have little ones, here are a few kid-specific solutions you might want to consider!
Bookshelves
Many kids love to read – whether they like you reading to them or like reading independently. It stimulates their imagination and can encourage their creativity. On top of this, it introduces them to new words, expanding their vocabulary and improving their intelligence in general by introducing them to new subjects and potential passions. So, it’s highly recommended that your kid has plenty of books. But you shouldn’t necessarily get a standard bookshelf for your children. While this will work as a storage solution, your kid may not be able to reach all of the shelves and may try to climb to get to higher shelves. Instead of this potential danger, find a bookshelf specifically for kids. This will be safer and have lower and more accessible shelves or Chunky Shelves.
Toy Storage
The items that make the most mess in kids rooms tend to be toys. Toys of all shapes and sizes can end up scattered over the floor and pretty much any other surface or space when kids start to play. This is fine while they’re actively playing, but when it comes to times when they leave the house or are going to bed or are doing anything else, mess can actually prove dangerous. Toys will wheels can be slipped on, other toys could be tripped on, and you may not be able to get from A to B without standing on a notoriously painful Lego brick. It’s absolutely essential that you provide some sort of storage for toys in particular in your living spaces. Not only is this for the sake of everyone’s health and safety, but it also teaches your kids to clean up their mess after themselves and instils good habits from a young age. Plus, it’ll make your home look neat, tidy and more aesthetically pleasing in general. Now, there are various different toy storage solutions out there. Consider a traditional toy box for the bulk of toys. This is a simple space that keeps toys out of the way. They can be put in and your kids can root them out as and when they want to play with them. You may also want to consider under bed storage. Rolling drawers can be pushed under your kids’ bed and pulled out. General storage boxes can also be pushed under the bed and pulled out – wheels just make things a little more smooth and easy.
These are two great storage solutions for families. So, invest in them! They’ll make your home a safer, tidier and more appealing environment in general!

I am raising my kids to be readers, instead of being glued to some sort of screen constantly. My little boy and girl also have their shared toys which they love to play with. Having a good storage solution for the kids really makes cleaning up so much easier. Thanks, Rach!

Hi Rach
This is a great post – I can relate to this so much!
I have stacked toy boxes only as high as my toddler so she can reach her toys and we then tidy up together.
