My daughter Skye likes creative things and anything that has glitter and lights up she apparently needs. The So Glow DIY Magic Jar Kit was right up her alley, everything she likes so she was super excited to get to try it out.
So Glow DIY Magic Jar Kit comes in a box of 3 different magic jars to make up. Each jar has a theme, ours were Chill, Cosmic and Dream.
Inside the box is;

Instructions
We took everything out of the box and read the instructions; these are on a small piece of paper with not only English but five other languages too, now I did have an issue with them because the font on them was tiny. I could just about see it clearly but I have no eyesight issues. My husband couldn’t read one word. Perhaps an A4 sheet of paper with larger font would solve that issue.
Skye took all the jars out of the box and started making her So Glow jar. She opened the first jar and took out the foil bag, sticker sheet. We cleared some space and put some kitchen roll on the surface we were using. Then we turned the lid upside down and pressed the button it flashed once and then we shook it to make sure it worked.
I then let Skye carry on doing it on her own with me watching and taking photos which I think annoyed her a little bit – oops!
She decided to put the stickers on the jar first then she filled the jar with water, opened the silver bag and found her surprise figure, she popped that in the jar, it was a green thing although I am not quite sure what, a cross between a bear, elephant and unicorn.
When the figure had sunk to the bottom Skye opened the bag of glitter and poured that into the jar. She then did the same with the confetti and magic powder the water purple it did look a bit murky to start with.
She then put the lid on tightly and gave the jar a good old shake so the powder had all dissolved.
The jar was finished. Skye was very pleased with it, but couldn’t understand why all of the confetti was at the top of the water so I told her to shake it every now and then and it should eventually stop going to the top. A couple of days later the confetti had stopped going to the top.
It does look very pretty in the dark like a glowing snow globe. I think that the light shutting off after 30 seconds is a bit short as Skye seems to be constantly shaking it but she hasn’t complained about it herself.
Skye did the other 2 jars too, unfortunately, we couldn’t get one of the lids to work so she swaps the lids over depending on whether she wants the blue or turquoise jar lit up.

Bought one of the so glow jars do it yourself for my granddaughter and the light could not get it to work ☹️
My granddaughter and I had the same issue.
I bought 2 bc it thought it would bea fun little thing that my 9 year old granddaughter and I could do together but neither one of our lights on our lids worked.
