Today I had two things that popped out at me for photos, the first wasn’t a good photo though as we were in the car and moving and I just had to photograph it as soon as I saw it as although they are big they move pretty fast and it is not every day we see a peacock near the school.
The second photo is my mum’s Orchid, I think she got this as a Christmas present but every time I see it I am in awe as it is so pretty.

Our car was booked in to be looked at as the windows on both driver and passenger sides would not work and as the garage was near my mum’s house I decided to intrude on her for much of the day while the garage took and look and priced up the job.
Much to my shock and horror we got a bill for a lot more than anticipated, yes it was a main dealer but after having so many problems with using other garages in the past, having our car for two weeks to fix something that takes a few hours we decided it was worth the extra cost and the knowledge that any parts put in the car are genuine and have warranty. Luckily we have savings for such emergencies so the car is now booked in to be fixed next week. What I did like was that when we picked the car up it had been washed and vacuumed. It looks almost new and to be truthful it was a state before it went in the garage.
It was actually nice at my mum’s quite a luxury sitting there with her heating on, it is still freezing cold at home so I was relishing the time there, with my laptop of course, although most of the time was spent fussing my sister’s dog, he is such a cutie and has such a funny personality. You will see a photo of him soon I promise.
When we got home it was absolutely freezing, we let the coal fire go last night as we knew we wouldn’t be at home during the day and I didn’t want it burning while I was out. Not only would it be a waste of coal but it is also a fire hazard.
It is now almost 8pm, we lit the fire at 4pm and it is just starting to warm up. I still have really cold feet so I am going to finish this post and grab my Heat Holders.
