There are always ways to improve the spaces our home have on offer. It does not matter about the shape and size of the spaces you have, you can always do something creative with it. These days there are so many designs and ideas. The limitations are really in your head. It does not matter that your garden is a two-meter square urban city space. There are many ways to reawaken it and make you want to be out there, rather than closing that curtain and forgetting about it, other than when you want to have that cheeky cigarette. The same can be said for that large space, that just seems far too big and unmanageable. Think about it. Why put so much effort into doing up the indoors and forgetting the outdoors. A great outdoor space, not only makes the home feel more welcoming, but it adds value too, not just in terms of money, but for your mental state too. Anyways here are some tips to help you:

Tidy up
Is your garden a bit of mess? Broken bits of old toys everywhere? Leaves, sticks, other kinds of rotting foliage scattered to the four corners. Well, you need to be able to see the forest for the trees, so go out there and start cleaning it up. Get rid of all the rubbish, and rake up all the leaves, and sweep the patio. Once you get started, you will fall into a rhythm, and it will not be long until the ground underneath is showing. At this point, it may be an idea to mow the grass so you can see how the land lies. If you have a hedge, you will need to trim this back too, along with any overgrown bushes. If it is a big job, do a little each day until you know what you are working with.
Make a plan
What do you like and not like? Think about it as if it were a room and start thinking about the improvements you can make, features, etc. Once you know what you would like, it makes the whole process simpler for you to begin the design phase.
Grass or patio
Choices, choices, life is full of them. So, think about what you have. If it is a small city space, and paving over dead grass is the best option. Or maybe you have paving already, and it’s mouldy and needs replacing. If you have a large garden and the grass has died in places maybe getting some new turf is an idea. If you do not have a patio area, perhaps you could create one, somewhere to place some outdoor furniture. Also think about adding some potted plants to the borders, or on the walls for small spaces.
Lighting
This is a great way to liven up a space and make you feel more secure at night. A good security light, https://www.lepro.co.uk/led-security-lights either in the garden or out the front, will give you that extra touch of safety. Also, some pretty ambient lighting will make you want to spend more time out there with that glass of wine.
