Prima Princessa Presents Sleeping Beauty

We were sent a copy of Prima Princessa Presents Sleeping Beauty DVD to review. The DVD is the second in the series aimed at children aged 3 – 7 years old. The first DVD was Prima Princessa Presents The Nutcracker (see review here).

Prima Princessa presents Sleeping Beauty features The Royal Ballet and each scene is explained in detail in a way that children listen and be involved. After the scene the DVD cuts to a practice of steps so children can learn ballet steps and dance along with the show. The steps are demonstrated by students at the School of American Ballet which is the official school of the New York City Ballet.

There is an animated fairy on the DVD and my daughter loves her. She is all into fairies, princesses and ballet so this DVD was perfect for her and having already read Sleeping Beauty she understood what was going on in the scenes.

As soon as the DVD cut from The Royal Ballet to the demonstrations my daughter was up and practicing the ballet steps. She thoroughly enjoyed it and the fun didn’t stop when The Sleeping Beauty finished there was a magical tea party and fun floral crafts afterwards which again my daughter loved.

Prima Princessa Presents Sleeping Beauty is a Parent’s Choice Award winner. “Be sure to roll up the carpet and push back the furniture when you watch this DVD, because your little ballet love is very likely to leap and twirl along with the dance playing on the TV screen.”

I think it is perfect for little girls, especially my little girls she has been watching this DVD for a couple of weeks now and is starting to get to know the steps of by heart now so joins in constantly.
