I have been known to use an essential oil diffuser in the past, but haven’t for a while, so when I was approached by Organic Aromas and asked if I would like to review one of their diffusers, how could I resist?
They sent me an Opulence Nebulizing diffuser which is available in six different colours; Black, White, Pink Floral, Black Marble, Blue Vine and Marble Grey, we received a white one.
It came in a lovely box and everything was packaged well so no breakages. Each piece in a separate section in the box the base, glass reservoir, plug, Essential oil, 2 cleaning pipettes and an essential oil glass pipette.
The Opulence Nebulizing diffuser has a ceramic base and a glass reservoir, sadly I can only get it out in the evenings once my 3-year-old is in bed and the cat has gone out otherwise it would get broken because it is very delicate.
The instruction leaflet gives step by step instructions on how to get started with the diffuser as well as how to clean, partial or deep clean, caution and how to activate your warranty.
There is a white LED light when you switch it on which looks great in the dark with the vapour coming out of the top of the reservoir. It has a touch sensor light switch, and runs through a usage cycle of 2 minutes on, 1 minute off and stops after two hours. The light will remain on after those two hours.
This is quite different from other diffusers I have had in the past which are filled with water and a few drops of essential oil, this one, however, you just add the essential oil so when switched on, it will give a strong aroma, which I actually like because I can actually smell it properly and it also reaches a wider area. For example, I can smell it upstairs when it is switched on in the living room.
I have been using the Lavender essential oil that was in the box, now I will be honest and tell you that I am not that fond of the smell of lavender, but I know that it does have some amazing benefits, especially for sleeping so I have had it going every evening when I was at home. I do think it is having some effect as my son who usually wakes during the night or if not is up at between 4 and 5 am has been sleeping until 6:30 am. Maybe it is a fluke but it has only started happening since I have been using the lavender in the diffuser.
I have been told that lemon essential oil is great for colds so I will be buying some in the next few weeks as I know that one of us is bound to get a cold very soon.
Overall, I like the Opulence Nebulizing Diffuser, it looks elegant even when switched off, it’s a beautiful design and looks gorgeous when the light is on, in the dark.
I obviously would have preferred plastic just so I could have it out during the day time too without the worry of it breaking, but using it in the evenings is fine for me too and I cannot wait to try other essential oils in it. I would recommend it.
