You may have read on a previous post that I like caramel lattes and that I had tummy troubles after drinking Tassimo ones (suspecting the crema) so I decided to make my own lattes. Which is really easy to do but if you do not have a steam frother then I would suggest purchasing a Aerolatte To Go steam free milk frother. The reason for this is because I did buy a cheap milk frother from Argos and it was rubbish, it was cheaply made, the battery cover is poor fitting, it wouldn’t even go back on properly after adding the batteries and it didn’t really froth the milk to how I wanted.

The Aerolatte To Go is a complete different story, it comes with batteries already installed and is very well made. It comes in its own case so I can take it with me which is great as I take it with me when I go away. The battery cover slides on and off easily and fits properly.

What is even more impressive is that it also comes with a leaflet which gives three steps to perfect frothed milk and 6 different recipes.
I did not follow the recipe included with it as I have my own way of making my caramel latte.
This is what you need;
Latte mug
Milk Frother
Milk
Coffee – Nescafe Espresso Instant Coffee

Monin Caramel Syrup (or a syrup flavour of choice).

First I measure out the milk I usually use about a third of a latte mug. I then pop it in the microwave for about 30-40 seconds until it is hot but not boiling. You can do this in the latte mug itself or in a jug which ever you prefer.
While this is in the microwave I make my coffee, 1 teaspoon into a jug and add freshly boiled water from the kettle and mix. I’d say about 150ml max. It did take a few times to get the correct amount of water for the latte mug so I would advise not to add too much water, after all it is an Espresso drink.
Next get the latte mug/jug out of the microwave and add 2 teaspoons of the caramel syrup. Grab the Aerolatte To Go put it into the milk and turn on.
It takes about 30 seconds to get the milk to really froth up.
Pour your milk into the latte mug if it is not already in there.
Finally pour the coffee very slowly in once place through the froth. This gives a striped effect if you want it like that.
Then drink it.

I make this frequently for me and I offered one to my husband, and he really enjoyed it too.
That looks so tasty, I fancy a coffee now 😉 x
