When going to bed I think it is important to be as comfortable as you can be, I mean you do spend half of your life in bed asleep. Apart from having a good mattress, there are other things important things that help keep you comfortable too, a quality duvet and a quality pillow.
I have tried a fair few pillows over the years but my favourite is a duck feather and down pillow, the reason for this is because they are super soft and you can fluff them up quite a bit so your head sinks into comfort, they don’t tend to lose their shape and there are no prickly bits that stab you in the face and head at night.
We were sent a Liddell Belfield Duck Feather and Down pillow to review from Vision who are specialists in hospitality, laundries and healthcare and supply the biggest hotel chains across the world including Hilton and Jumeirah Beach Hotels.
This pillow is standard size at 48cm x 74cm and is 1200g filled with naturally breathable 85% duck feather and 15% duck down and it regulates body temperature better than synthetic fill.
The cover of the pillow is woven using 233 thread count, 100% cotton which makes it both downproof and luxurious. It has piped edging and twin needed stitching. It is from the luxury hotel bedding collection.
There are 3 sizes in this pillow, standard as stated above, Jumbo is 50cm x 90cm and 1560g fill and Euro which is 65cm x 65cm and 1400g fill.
Now when you think of luxury pillows with duck feather and down you would think that it would have a luxury price tag too, however much to my surprise they are much cheaper than I had expected at just £14.56 each.
My husband has been testing the pillow out for about a week or so now and he absolutely loves it, he has always liked feather pillows but didn’t like the feathers creeping out and poking him in the head. So far he has not had any stray feathers poking him and he seems to have been sleeping a lot better.
He has had no restless nights from being uncomfortable or the pillow going flat, he said it is the most comfortable pillow he has used for a long while and he can see the reason that luxury hotels use them because they feel so nice when you rest your head on them.
Since using this pillow he has said he wants to get another as he usually has 2 pillows so we will definitely be buying more.
Who can resist a fluffed up soft pillow?
