Today is Zander’s 2nd birthday, can you believe it has been 2 years since he entered the world? Where has the time gone? And what a 2 years it has been.
My little boy came a week early after I was induced due to baby size (they thought he was going to weigh over 10lb), Polyhydramnios and Gestational Diabetes, this boy gave me quite a challenge through the pregnancy and eventually an emergency C-Section.
A fit at 5 months old, “slow walker” according to my health visitor although he was walking before 14 months old. He now tears around the place like a loon.
He is obsessed with the garden and asks to go out there as soon as he wakes up. Not going to happen son lol.
He doesn’t like to share, we have found this out over the past two weeks when playing with his cousin who is 15 weeks younger than him. He has also got a nasty streak in him, where he lashes out when told no and hits or pinches people then goes full on tantrum mode which means rolling around the floor whinging or crying. Definitely terrible twos!
He can say lots of new words and is now pointing to parts of his body, finger, toes, knees, head, hair etc. And seems to come out with a new word every day, although he can’t string a sentence together quite yet and it seems only I can understand most words he says. He is getting there.
Over this last 2 years, he has bought a lot of happiness and joy to my life especially since he was our miracle baby (conceived naturally after failed ICSI and 8.5 years of trying). He has also bought me a few more grey hairs, as he can be so clumsy and fearless, tears when he’s been exceptionally naughty or not slept well for a few nights on the trot but do you know what….
I am so pleased we were blessed with him, he is a mummy’s boy through and through and I love him to bits.
So Happy 2nd Birthday little man, Mummy and Daddy love you lots and lots and we hope you have had a fantastic day xxx
