If you haven’t seen The Grossery Gang playsets before, where have you been? They are quite popular as an alternative to Shopkins. We have reviewed the Yucky Mart Playset and we are asked if we would like to add to it by reviewing the Mushy Slushie playset and as my daughter loves The Grossery Gang we just had to.
The Grossery Gang is the new gross collectable for boys and girls, see it as the Shopkins for boys! I say that but not all girls’ like girly things and The Grossery Gang may be more appealing to them.
The Mushy Slushie playset is another playset but this time it is a slushie machine. It has a large slushie cup at the top where you can put your Grossery Gang figures in, put a slushie cup underneath and when you pull the lever out pops the figure into the cup. You can also try to launch your figures into the large slushie cup by placing them onto the green panel at the top and pulling down the lever. We haven’t managed to get the figures into the cup just yet, but it is fun trying. On the other end of the slushie machine is a fridge which you can keep your figures in for safe keeping or as a display of them and just above that is 2 cup holders which the cups slot into when not in use.
As soon as this arrived my daughter wanted it opened, she is so impatient but loves playsets like these. She studied every bit of the mucky slushie playset so she knew what was what and when she spotted the exclusive characters she was thrilled as she hasn’t got many characters yet. We are working on getting some more though.
She will spend over an hour at a time playing with her playsets, flipping the characters to try and get them in the big slushie pot and just generally having good fun with it.
It is nice to see her play with something that isn’t computerised if I am honest and it gives her a lot of entertainment. This is something she loves and I am sure when her brother is older he will get just as much fun out of it.
There are over 150 characters to collect across 6 different gangs, there are limited edition and special gang members too. Will your foil bag contain one?
