You would think buying a gift for Father’s Day would be pretty easy wouldn’t you? But it isn’t, well not for me anyway. I find it so difficult finding gifts for men at the best of times and when I asked my children what they want to get Dad they just say “I don’t know” which really doesn’t help me at all. My job would be a lot easier if my husband played computer games, drank beer or spirits or liked sport but oh no I have an awkward one. I searched the internet high and low for some Father’s day inspiration which took me a long while.
There are a lot of things to choose from even if you have someone as picky as I have, experience days which there are so many things to choose from here like Ferrari driving, hot air balloon trips, Segway, flying lessons. If they are not interested in that kind of gift a watch a Dad ring seems popular, a bracelet or maybe an earring if he has his ears pierced. For those that love DIY a “Man” tool of any kind is good because all men like tools. Hampers seem quite popular and they come in all shapes and sizes some with drink, chocolate, sweets. Personalised gifts seem to be the way to go with a varied amount of things that can be personalised there is something for everyone photobooks, mugs, keyrings, photo frames, pens and mouse mats to name a few.
The best presents in my opinion are those that are handmade by the children, I am not sure if Dad’s feel the same way but when one of my children make something for me that they thought up themselves it means so much more and I treasure it much more than anything else I have received.
