My preference when vaping is a pod system because I can use nic salts in them so I was delighted to be offered the chance to try the Elven pod system by Eleaf from the lovely people at E-Cigarette Direct.

I received a black Elven pod, it is also available in red, blue and gold. For a lower end mod, it actually looks and feels great quality. Not a plastic tacky cheap feel to it at all. Now I do have a couple of other pods, one £10 dearer than the Elven and I can honestly say the dearer one feels inferior to touch than this one.
It is designed to take nic salts and high PG juices.
The Elven is 10cm long and fits in the hand comfortably and so light. On the bottom end is the charging port and on the top end is the hole to place the pod in. At the front bottom end of the pod is a light, it only lights up when inhaling, it is the battery level indicator.
Green = 100% – 60%
Blue =59%-20%
Red= 19% and under
When charging the light remains red until fully charged and then the light goes out.
I found that the battery life was very good, with me having to charge it every 24-36 hour.
This is the first time I have used an automatic draw device, and I would say because you just inhale on it without pressing a button it would be ideal for those wanting to come off of the cigarettes and switch to vaping as it is very similar. It also has a restricted draw similar to cigarette smoking however you can change the airflow option but turning the cartridge 180 degrees to make it a lighter draw. In all honesty, I didn’t notice too much of a difference from both options.
For a small device, it does chuck out decent clouds too. I am not into clouds really it’s all about the flavour for me and yes this gives fantastic flavour. It is very rare to get a spit back with it too.
The pod is refillable and it is very easy to refill and see when you need to refill.
I chuck this in my bag and it can go in and out of the bag a lot during the day, it has not leaked once which I think is a huge positive as so many devices do leak.
You do need to replace the pods as coils do burn out, and you will definitely know when it’s time to change the pod. There is a spare pod in the box and replacement pods are less than £2.50 each which is reasonable.
Overall, the Elven pod system did take a bit of time to get used to using the Elven, however, I think it is a fab little device, perfect for people wanting to quit smoking and are looking into vaping as an alternative. Reasonably priced and I would definitely recommend it. I carry it around with me every day.
