We were sent 2 6 inch DC SuperHero Girls action figures to review which were Wonder Woman and Bumblebee we also received a LookBook and a DC SuperHero Girls note book.
On the back of the action figure boxes it tells you what your Super Heroes Super Powers are.
Wonder Woman’s are; Super strength, flight, nearly invincible and super athleticism.
Bumblebee’s are; Enhanced strength, flight, ability to shrink, and projects sonic blasts.
We have all heard of Wonder Woman, she has been around for a long time, I remember watching the TV program when I was a child, I think she was the first super hero I had ever seen, she was my hero for definitely.
I had not heard of Bumblebee though, so had to do some research about her. She is a member of Teen Titan and also a member of the Doom Patrol. I was still none the wiser though but she looks pretty cool and being able to shrink to the size of a bee would be quite handy in certain situations.
The action figures have been well made, each part of the dolls has been painted perfectly, even the smallest of parts.
Wonder Woman is dressed just how I remembered, with her red boots with little white wings on, the blue trousers with white stars down the sides and the classic red top with the gold WW across the top and not forgetting her headband with jet black hair, she carries her whip and had silver arm cuffs.
But that is not all, her joints move, her knees, tops of leg joints, top of arms and elbows, so you can pose her, you can even move her head from side to side and up and down.
Bumblebee wears black trousers with yellow hexagrams dotted around, along with her yellow boots. She has a black and yellow top with blue arm cuffs with yellow bees on them. She also had a blue backpack type thing on which holds her beautiful yellow wings. She has brown hair with yellow streaks and corn rows on one side.
The dolls stand on their own and you can pose them into your favourite super hero pose.
As soon as my daughter saw these she wanted to play with them, she has had other dolls but not super heroes before and definitely not super hero girls. She was in her element playing with them. I did have to tell her what they were called and she looked in the LookBook to see what their stats were and to read a little more about them. Every time I look at the action figures they are in a different pose. If I didn’t know better I would have thought they were moving whenever I turned my back, luckily I catch my daughter walking towards them every time I have moved away from them so it is definitely her moving them.
I think the DC SuperHero Girls action figures are great for girls, giving a bit of girl power to young girls and being the first ever action role play toy for girls makes them a must have especially with all of the super hero movies coming out at the moment.
While my daughter was playing with the super heroes I headed to the DC Super Hero Girls official website to find out what Super Hero Girl is most like me.
My result was Bumblebee!
