Finding a shampoo that doesn’t irritate my scalp and leave me itching my head constantly can be hard and I have only found a couple that my scalp actually likes. I was asked if I would like to review a bottle of Clairol 5 in 1 Everyday Cleansing Shampoo and I agreed mainly because if it didn’t irritate but also made my hair look and feel smooth and shiny without it would be a much cheaper shampoo to use than my current one.
The Clairol 5 in 1 shampoo gently cleanses, softens, nourishes, smells fresh and detangles hair so it states that it does a lot but was it up to the job with my thick long hair which I can never get a brush or comb through when wet and even when my hair is dry it is difficult.
It is inspired by mums and designed with multitasking parents in mind and is suitable for the whole family’s hair.
When using it I noticed that it seemed to be a little thicker in substance than other shampoos I have used. It lathers up very quickly and it makes my scalp and hair feel fresher. I noticed the aroma it gave off when I was lathering it up in my hair, it smells fresh, it has camomile extract in it.
I found that it was easy to wash out all of the shampoo after cleaning my hair and it felt nicer straight away. While it was still wet I tried running my fingers through my hair and apart from the odd knot that is inevitable in this mad hair I could run my fingers through it really easily.
I let my hair to dry naturally and I keep asking my husband what that nice smell was, it took me about fifteen minutes to realise it was my hair, it smelt so fresh and really nice.
Once my hair was dry I could run a brush through it with ease and my hair looked healthier and soft, shiny and smooth and the best part is that it has not irritated my head at all.
I know this is suitable for shampooing your hair everyday but I never wash my hair everyday maybe every other day or every third day but my hair has stayed soft and shiny throughout that time and it has been easy to brush every day.
This is definitely being popped onto my shopping list as a favourite and I will be looking out for a conditioner to go with it.
