A few weeks ago I received the Christmas box Degustabox and as usual it didn’t take me long to open it to see what goodies were in it. If you don’t know what a Degustabox is, it is a monthly subscription box where you receive food and drink to try. The box is a surprise so you never know what will be in there.
Here is what was in our Degustabox this month;
Hartley’s Glitter Jelly – Hartley’s Glitter Jelly brings extra sparkle to your favourite fruity jelly. The edible glitter gives an impressive shimmery effect, making it a great addition to your Christmas party.
Glittery jelly must be the kid’s most favourite type of jelly. To me it tastes just the same but to the kids it is even better than regular jelly because it sparkles. This went down a treat with my children. I would definitely purchase again in the future.
Christian Potier Sauce – Culinary sauces designed by a French chef, for meat and fish, in single serve pouches (3 x 50g). Natural: no preservatives added, no artificial flavourings or colours. No waste: one pouch for one plate! Convenience: 10 sec at 600 watts in the microwave to heat up.
We have not tried this yet, it is Hollandaise sauce, I am sure we will be trying it out soon though, my husband is thinking of what he can use it with that we will all eat.
Butterkist Choc Mallow Popcorn – Butterkist – the nation’s favourite popcorn – brings you its indulgent Choc Mallow popcorn made for sharing. Choc Mallow is perfect for family nights in.
I love marshmallows, chocolate and popcorn. It tasted really nice, I could taste the chocolate a lot more than the marshmallow though and think it would be slightly better having more mallow to the taste.
Butterkist Sweet Cinema Style Popcorn – Butterkist – the nation’s favourite popcorn – brings you the unique Sweet Cinema Style popcorn in a snack pack. Best-selling Sweet Cinema Style popcorn is great for a sweet treat.
This is definitely my favourite popcorn from the Butterkist range, and I have it almost every time I watch a film. This is a great size bag for kids, not so much for me as I can get through a whole big bag in one sitting haha.
Ryvita Thins – Caramelised Onion Thins and Sweet Chilli Thins are two of the flavoursome flatbreads from Ryvita. They are a source of fibre, and are perfect for a delicious snack; whether you’re watching a movie, catching up with friends or just feeling a bit peckish at your desk. Enjoy!!
We received the Caramelised Onion Thins, they were very crispy and we paired them off with some dips, garlic and herb and salsa dip. Both tasted great with the Ryvita Thins.
Ryvita Crackers – Ryvita Crackers are distinctively crispy, and have been baked with wholegrain rye and olive oil for a fuller flavour. Low in saturated fat, low in sugar and high in protein and fibre, these crackers are available in four delicious flavours including Golden Rye and Green & Black Olive.
We received the Cracked Black Pepper Ryvita Crackers, unfortunately I have an allergy to black pepper so I couldn’t try them. My youngest daughter loves crackers and black pepper though and she enjoyed these with butter and cheese on top and sometimes some salad products like cucumber and tomatoes along with the cheese.
Pipers Crisps – Pipers Crisps endeavour to make Britain’s tastiest crisps. The newest flavour is hand cookies potato crisps seasoned with wild thyme and rosemary gathered from The Atlas Mountains in Morocco. “Crisps As They Should Taste”.
This was a 40g bag of crisps, with a strange flavour of thyme and rosemary. I must admit when I opened the bag they smelt ‘different’ I didn’t like them myself but my daughter really liked them and it wasn’t long before they were gone.
Jules Destrooper Butter Crisps – Summer butter, eggs and flour…
Together they combine to create a crunchy biscuit that wins everyone over because of the rich taste of butter and caramelised sugar. The Jules Destrooper Butter Crisp is perfect with tea or coffee, and also for ice cream and creative desserts.
I absolutely love Jules Destrooper Butter Crisps. I usually have them when I have a mid morning cup of tea, just as a little snack. They are so buttery and crisp. Absolutely delicious.
J2O Glitterberry – J20 Glitterberry is a unique grape and cherry spiced flavour drink with edible glitter that sparkles when the bottle is shaken. Luscious fruit juice drink for adults, perfect to celebrate the festive season.
There were fights over my daughters on who was going to get this, they both love J2O and the extra glitter made it a much wanted drink for both of them. In the end I had to give them half each. The said it was really nice, you could definitely taste the cherry and grape. But who am I kidding they only really wanted it for the glitter as it was so unique.
Michel et Augustin- At the Banana Farm, we whip up delicious, healthy recipes you can grab WHEREVER you go, using simple and HIGH quality ingredients. Our 4 cookie squares sittin’ in a row dark chocolate with a pinch of sea salt will make food-lovers of the WORLD smile and experience this funny human adventure! Yum-on-the-run 😉
I have never seen these mini biscuits before, they are small in size and only 4 in a packet and are a biscuit covered in dark chocolate. We had one each, I actually liked it even though I am not a lover of dark chocolate. My husband wanted more as did the girls.
Appy Kids Co – The Gruffalo Golden Apple Fruit Drink is part of Appy Kids Co Lunchbox range. The drinks are 100% natural, with no added sugar and sweetened with plant stevia, making them a healthier option for kids.
The Gruffalo Golden Apple Fruit Drink was perfect for my youngest daughter to have in her lunchbox , she loves apple drink and the Gruffalo on the front made it even better. She may be 9 but she still loves little things like that. Being 100% natural with no added sugar means it is healthier for her too.
The Good Cider – We select the best apples from the harvest from our own apple trees in Spain. Then using traditional methods we create our delicious craft cider. Wild Berries: Bursting with the freshest blackcurrants and cranberries. Strawberry-Lime: A splash of fresh strawberries and a squeeze of tangy lime. Drink them very cold and/or with ice!
I love cider, it is my choice of drink, I really missed it when I was pregnant so I was happy that these 2 bottles were in the box. Once the baby was in bed I had a sneaky bottle and it tasted so nice and refreshing, it is so fruity. My favourite is definitely Strawberry and Lime but the Wild Berries is just as nice.
Overall I think this was a good box.
