Using sun protection is a vital part of life for me, I do not particularly want to suffer with skin cancer in a few years time, I also do not want my skin to age quicker than normal and I definitely do not want to be uncomfortable sun burnt because I couldn’t be bothered to apply sun lotion.
I was asked if I would like to review a bottle of Calypso SPF30 Sun Lotion and happily agreed.
It has a pump action squirting top so it is easy to get the amount you need without the added stress of getting too much and not knowing what to do with it.
When applying it I found that it absorbs into the skin quickly and leaves no white marks on the skin. There is also no greasy residue left over from it. It also smells nice which I am pleased about as some sun lotions smell can be pretty over powering.
I have not left the house without applying the Calypso SPF30 Sun Lotion since receiving it and I can honestly say that I have not been burnt at all.
It protects against UVA and UVB, it is photostable, anti-ageing, moisturising and water resistant although if I go in to water I do like to reapply once I am out. I also reapply often when I am going to be out in the sun for a long time.
I am also very happy to be using the Calypso SPF30 Sun Lotion because it has been named a Which? Best Buy.

It is the cheapest sun cream per 100ml working out at just £1.20 per 100ml. It also passed both UVA and UVB tests and it was also awarded the Great Value logo.
This was tested against another 14 brands of sun lotion and there were some expensive ones that did not pass the British standards which was to see whether they provided adequate protection against two UV radiation UVA and UVB . So just remember that not all expensive sun lotions are protecting you completely.
