Late again. Yesterday we were out in the garden and we spotted the first lily bug which was right near where my lilies have just started coming out of the ground. Not only do they munch through the lilies but they also mate and then leave their eggs on the lilies. Their eggs are in a black gooey substance that looks a lot like bird poop and makes the lilies look awful. I am keeping an eye out for more and will get rid of them as soon as I see them. No insecticides though, I have had a look on the internet and found some natural remedies so hopefully they will work.
