If you are a native to Britain the you will know that the weather can be somewhat unpredictable, usually raining, we are well known for the terrible and rainy weather we have.
We have just had a heat wave of sorts but we did have storms and a lot of rain prior to this and it was the perfect opportunity for my daughter to try out her new Hunter Original Hunter Colour Block Wellies and Yumi Girls Floral Hooded Rain Mac from House of Fraser for the British Summertime Campaign.
The hot pink and lilac Hunter wellies are totally gorgeous and exactly what I would expect from Hunter, they are very well made, in pretty colours that my daughter loves and are in her words ‘Way comfy’. Hunter have an orthopaedic fit which supports ankles and make sure children’s feet are well catered for.
They are made with vulcanised rubber upper for extra strength, they have a traditional calendered sole which is crafted with natural rubber, they’re very hard wearing and have a quick-dry nylon lining. They also have a multi- layered cushioned sponge insole for a comfortable and snug fit.
The Hunter wellies also have reflectors on the back of them so my daughter can be seen in the dark or gloomy weather. They also came with a drawstring bag which my daughter has made use for, but not for her wellies.
The Yumi Girls Floral Hooded Rain Mac is so pretty, I really like it, it is very lightweight which is needed in the summer. It has a tie waist, and a hood. We like this because in the summer heat sometimes it is necessary to wear something to stop you getting wet when it suddenly rains but you do not want something that is big and thick as it would be too hot and uncomfortable. This is absolutely perfect.
My daughter really likes it, I was unsure if she would as she usually goes for pink things but she said it was cool and that she couldn’t wait for it to rain so she could try it out.
It wasn’t long before her wish came true and so armed with her umbrella she ventured out in the garden with her new wellies and mac and splashed in the puddles.
Here is my favourite photos of her doing so.
She did not come in with squelching feet and was dry as a bone from head to toe.
