It is Breast Cancer Awareness Month so what better time to write a post about it. Breast cancer affects more people that you would like to think, it is the most common cancer in the UK with 5000 new diagnosis’s expected this October alone.
So my message to you is…Check your boobs!
If you notice any of the signs or symptoms in the infographic below please go to your GP. Please don’t leave it even if you think it is nothing, it is always better to get things checked out.

Now we can all raise awareness but donations help too.
I bought the pin badge below and also donated because a family member has had breast cancer and there is a risk that my middle daughter may have inherited a BRCA gene which is worrying for me but when she is old enough she will be tested for it. For now, we are trying to put it at the back of our minds until the time comes that she has the testing.

All proceeds from items bought in the Breast Cancer Care shop are spent on our work for people affected by breast cancer.
For more information, support, to donate or find out about fundraising visit the Breast Cancer Care website.

That must be a worry about your daughter. I hope she’s OK in the future.
I had never heard of the Breast Cancer Care shop before today. I think I might have to get some Christmas stuff from there 🙂 x
Thank you Kim, I hope when she needs testing she gets the all clear. The shop has loads of different stuff, I was amazed when I looked x
Good luck for your daughters testing, i’m hoping all comes back clear when the time comes. x
Thank you, me too x
Love the infographic – really informative and useful for visual learners like me. Also, very sorry to hear about your daughter but at least knowing allows you to know to be vigilant. Finger’s crossed for you.
Thank you. Yes definitely, she knows she will need testing in the future but I don’t think she really knows what it is actually for.
Such an important topic to raise awareness about, fingers crossed that once your daughter is old enough for the test, all will be well x
