I was a sent Amazonliss Brazilian Keratin Treatment Kit to try. It is an Absolut Smoothing Effect Treatment for damaged, frizzy and dull hair.
My hair has felt awful lately, it feels dry, damaged and horrible especially at the ends, it gets really frizzy too so I was excited to give this a go.
When it arrived I took a look and inside the box is 3 small bottles 60ml each, they have 1, 2 and 3 on the front.
1 is an Anti Residue Shampoo
2 is a Brazilian Smoothing Treatment
3 is an Intensive Repair Mask
The ingredients included in these bottles are, Acai extract, cacao extract and four types of hydrolysed protein (rice, soy, wheat and corn).
There is also a step by step guide in the box on how to use it.
The first step was to wash the hair with the anti residue shampoo, lather it up and leave it for about 5 minutes and rinse. If you have resistant hair or virgin hair repeat the process. I just did this the ones. It lathered up really well and smelt lovely. It reminded me of being in a salon getting my hair washed.
The next step was to dry the hair with a hairdryer so it was 85% dry, now this was quite difficult to measure, I mean how can you tell that your hair is 85% dry? I guessed and went with it.
The third step was to section the hair into 6 equal parts then apply the Brazilian Smoothing Treatment (bottle 2) in one section, starting from the base of the head. Opening the section in half and applying on the upper and lower parts too. It suggests using a fine tooth comb to comb it through the section. This was easier said than done as my hair and combs do not mix. I persisted with it though and managed to do it finally. Then once I had done that I used the hairdryer on cold setting to dry the sections, without brushing them.
Bottle 2 smelt even better than bottle 1, it reminded me of Juicy Fruits chewing gum.
I was on step 6 now, I had to divide the hair into 4 parts and then straighten it for 8-10 times from the root to the middle of the hair and 4-6 times from middle to ends.
The next step was called finalisation, I was confused with this, surely you wouldn’t do this after spending time straightening your hair? Well yes you do. I rinsed my hair then applied the Intensive Repair Mask massaging it in and left it in for 5 minutes then rinsed again and blow dried my hair.
Treatment finished and my hair looked and felt so much better, shinier, smoother, easier to manage and straight, what’s that all about? My hair is normally tangly and wavy but it is not anymore. It still feels like that. I am very pleased with the results.
This treatment gives deep moisture and nutrition, thermal hair protection and a maximum result for up to 4 months.
I have used about half a bottle of each and as it only needs to be done once every 4 months it means my hair is going to look fantastic for the next 8 months at least and you can dye your hair after use too.
