Alice In Wonderland Costume The official World Book Day was on Thursday March 5th and it is something most schools get involved with although they seem to do it on a day that suits them better. The school children are usually allowed to dress up as a character from a book and go to school in that costume and children love it.
We were sent a Disney Alice in Wonderland costume from George at Asda for my daughter to dress up in for World Book Day and she absolutely adores this dress.
When it arrived I was in awe, it is such a pretty dress and the details are fantastic.
It is a lovely light blue in which has a silky feel to it, it is short sleeved, it has hook and loop fastening.
At the centre of the collar is a brooch with Alice’s face on it. The sleeves are ruffled. There is netting over the top of the dress which has blue glitter on it to make it shimmer. There is also netting underneath the dress to puff it out.
The apron is my favourite part though, it is white with a black outline of Alice along with roses and vines and the word Alice written on it. This is truly beautiful.
Along with the dress there is also a headband with a big bow on it and a gold clock bag.
My daughter could not wait until World Book Day to wear her new Alice dress and she had to try it on as soon as it came and to be honest I couldn’t wait to see what it looked like on her either.
This is what it looked like when it was on and she had ‘done’ her hair to her satisfaction.
I think she looks adorable and so pretty. She went off to school in it with her confidence oozing from her, She definitely won Best Dressed in my eyes.
