Obviously I have baths and showers like everyone and I always like to try something new so when I was asked if I would like to try WestLab Shower Wash and Bath Soak which are infused with natural salt minerals of course I was going to accept.
Westlab is the UK’s best bath salt manufacturer and leader in affordable, natural, free-from products, and they have launched two new product lines to give your bath regime a wellness boost infused with pure mineral salts, the range of fragrant Bath Soaks can be used alone or alongside Westlab mineral salts, to enhance the bathing experience, whilst the Shower Washes add a touch of mineral wellbeing to a daily shower.
The first one I tried was the Reviving Shower Wash + Epsom Salt Minerals. It is PH balanced to support naturally healthy skin, with naturally derived ingredients, no colourants or soap and 0% SLS/SLES. It is also dermatologically tested.
This is what it says on bottle;
Reviving Shower Wash with Epsom Salt Minerals
Naturally rich in magnesium, to leave skin feeling revived and healthy.
In the shower I go, and the first thing I do is open the cap and have a little sniff, it smells fresh, soapy, similar to milk baby wash. It was not a strong scent. It was a nice smell.
When washing with it, it was a clear gel that lathered up really well. It did not cause any irritations and was indeed gentle on the skin.
I did have a minor problem though, I am not sure if it was a coincidence due to previously getting sunburn but had gone back to normal but my arms in particular were very dry after using it. I tried it several times and the same thing. This may be because of the Epsom Salt Minerals in it. No need to worry though a little bit of moisturiser solved that little hiccup.
When I next had a bath, which honestly isn’t as often as I’d like as I don’t get much time to lay in the bath to soak and relax with a toddler around so I normally opt for a shower. The Cleansing Bath Soak + Himalayan Salt Minerals is PH balanced to support naturally healthy skin, with naturally derived ingredients, no colourants or soap and 0% SLS/SLES. It is also dermatologically tested.
This is what it says on the bottle;
Cleansing Bath Soak with Himalayan Salt Minerals
Naturally rich in essential minerals, to leave skin feeling cleansed and healthy.
I poured this while my bath water was running, it gave a lot of bubbles, more than I had expected considering there is salt in it and no SLS/SLES, this pleased me already as there is nothing more relaxing than a with lots of bubbles.
The scent was lovely, again not too strong, natural smelling, fresh, like baby bath.
When I had finished in the bath I felt so relaxed and clean, my skin smelt nice and soft. I didn’t notice any dryness on my skin from this one at all.
As it is good for the entire family even my 2 year old had a bath with this in it and it caused no problems to his skin at all.
Both the Shower Wash and the Bath Soak were really nice and I have almost used them both up now. I would recommend them.
You can find these in ASDA and on the Westlab website RRP £3.00
