I was recently accepted to review a How I Hit #1on Google: The Complete SEO Course. I applied for this as I have very little SEO knowledge and learning more about it would benefit me and hopefully my blog.
The course is run via Udemy which I have used once before and it is very user friendly.
It is the highest-rated SEO course on Udemy and will easily help your site hit the first page of Google for your main keywords.
I was excited to start this course but I will warn you that it is a lengthy course as there are many things to cover in it.
The first part of the course talked about different ways to optimise my site by speeding up the page speed and advising and showing different plugins in wordpress to help with that.
Some of the plugins I was already familiar with. Some I had not heard of. The person running this course goes into great detail on every plugin including how to setup and use them properly.
He also talked about ways to optimise images which can cause slowness of the pages loading up and included a couple of great plugins to use but also some websites that would help too.
To check your page speed at anytime you just need to use the Google Developers Pagespeed insights. You can check your scores on it and it also tells you what is causing the issues.
Obviously SEO is not all about page speed though, you need to have good keywords which should be in the first or second work of the title of your post. The size of your posts matter too. I thought that a post word count should be at least 300 words but it seems that most websites on the first page of Google actually have 1000 words.
I am not going to go through everything that was said in this course because if I did then my post would be the size of a novel but I can tell you that I have learnt a lot, I must admit that some things I did already know and am already doing but now I know how to do much more to blog to make it rank better but I am not all about rankings. I want my blog to be faster for my readers too.
Would I recommend this course? Yes I would, especially to those that do not understand SEO I think this would give a much needed insight to what it means and how to get your site running better.
The Complete SEO Course costs £314 and is available at Udemy.
And what’s more this is the first and only course on Udemy backed by a 115% money-back guarantee. If you don’t make your investment back with the strategies you learn here, I will give you 15% cash on top of your refund.
