Who here leaves it until the last minute to get the school uniform labelled? I do, I am terrible for it although to be fair the days throughout the summer holidays fly by and before you know it the kids go back to school the next day. Over the years I have spent many years up late the night before the new school year starts ironing or worse, sewing labels onto the uniforms.
What if I told you that there was something that puts the stress out of labelling school uniform that takes literally FIVE MINUTES or less to name ALL the school uniform, I’m not even joking, there really is such a thing!
I was lucky to have been given the opportunity to review a personalised stamp and ink pad from Stamptastic. It was really easy to order, just go on to the website, go to Name Stamps and follow the steps which allow you to have one or two lines on the stamp choose font and font size and choose a little icon if you want one. There is even a box that shows you a preview. Each stamp is 38mm x 15mm. They have even added a ‘How To’ video so you know exactly how to use the stamp and ink pad. Which you may think oh I don’t need to watch this, but I do recommend watching it.
Stamptastic offer free delivery on orders over £12 which I personally think is very good as most companies only offer for a much larger sum of spending on their websites.
My order came 2 days after I had ordered it which is fantastic considering the lovely people at Stamptastic were probably rushed off their feet with a mass of orders at the end of August from mums just like me that leave things to the last minute.
So the night before school started, yes I really did leave it until the last minute I got all the uniform ready for stamping.
I just followed the instructions from the video, place the stamp directly onto the ink pad without wiggling and then flattened the label and stamped the name onto the label. Wow, it was so quick and easy and took me five minutes if that to stamp all the labels of the new uniform.
I am so impressed and wonder why I had not tried it much sooner, it would have saved a lot of time and effort.
The stamp is comfortable to use as it has a slight shape to it, you can see if you have the name the correct way round as the stamp is clear and the name can be seen through it. You must keep the ink pad in the bag and seal it with the drip seal when not using it.
The ink has been tested by an independent tester and it will withhold 50 washes on a 40-degree wash, it is suggested for best results to stamp on to the care label. The ink pad can provide over 2000 stamps and the ink pad should last up to 2 years if used and looked after according to instructions.
You can also use the stamps for shoes and anything else you would like to name stamp. If you are wanting to label stationery I would recommend a smaller font on the stamp just so it fits on it properly. However, we had no stationery to add names to.
My son will be going to nursery next year and I am sure Skye will have more new uniform between and at the same time too, I will definitely be buying a stamp for Zander’s school uniform too.
The Stamptastic inkpad and stamp are definitely something that every parent with school-aged children need in their life, it saves a lot of time ironing, sewing or writing on labels and when the time does come when the ink has started to fade, then it only takes a minute or two to stamp it again. I would 100% recommend it to everyone.
