As I have gotten older I seem to get more spots and pimples, I was lucky not to suffer from them when I was a teen but in my late 30’s I get them normally due to hormone changes and wearing makeup. I feel embarrassed by the fact I have spots, it makes me self conscious and I end up using a concealer which covers it okay but makes the spot worse in the long run.
I was sent 3 products from the Salcura Antiac range and I was eager to see if they would help with my spot problem.
The main product that I have been using every morning and night is the Antiac Daily Face Wash, this comes in a 150ml tube, is deep cleansing, PH neutral, suitable for all skin types and suitable for oily and combination skin. It is used for treating acne, blackheads, whiteheads and pimples.
For effective maintenance of skin prone to acne and blemishing. A deep cleansing formula that eliminates impurities in the skin.
This face wash is a beige/clear colour and quite a runny formula and has a clean, fresh scent to it. It lathers up really nicely and rinses off well. I pat my face dry afterwards. My skin feels smooth, fresh and almost like a new feeling to it. It feels completely clean.
I only need a small amount of the daily face wash in my hands to clean my whole face so a little goes a long way.
It contains a star ingredient called Sea Buckthorn which is essential to target infections, soothe inflammation and deep cleanse which has proven abilities when dealing with acne.
It is totally free from nasties including Benzole Peroxide, Parabens, Sulphates, Antibiotics and Lanolin.
I would say I have blemishing rather than acne and since using this my skin has been a lot better. It even looks healthier. I have not had as many spots coming up either, and just a small amount when my period is due. This costs £9.99.
When I do have a minor flare up at that time of the month I reach for the Antiac Activ Gel Serum in the first instance. This is a max strength gel which targets spots and claims to have visible results in as little as 4 hours.
An intensive therapy for the skin, formulated to target spots fast.
On the box it states that this should be used throughout the day, everyday until spots fade.
One thing I hate are those spots that are under the skin, hard, feel quite large and as so sore as soon as I notice I have one of those I apply the gel serum to it. Applying around every four hours during the daytime the first time after washing my face with the face wash and the last application goes on last thing at night after my nightly wash. I have noticed that these awful spots get less sore and disappear a lot quicker with the gel.
It’s star ingredients are Sea Buckthorn, Eucalyptus, Manuka and Aloe Vera. I could smell the Eucalyptus scent as soon as I unscrewed the lid, even the scent has a calming effect.
It comes in 15ml tube and is totally free from Benzole Peroxide, Parabens, Sulphates, Antibiotics and Lanolin which is perfect as I can also take it out with me in my bag. It costs £9.99.
I also use the Antiac Activ Liquid Spray which comes in a 50ml pump action spray bottle.
An intensive therapy for the skin, formulated to clear flare ups or deal with regularly occurring moderate/severe acne.
I only use this when I have a spot flare up and it is best to apply it after cleansing the skin. I spray it onto clean hands and then dab it around the areas affected. I do this in the morning and at night. It has a wide area use This is great combined with the gel serum which I just put on the bad spots.
This was actually voted Embarrassing Bodies Channel 4 Best Acne Product.
Again it is totally free from Benzole Peroxide, Parabens, Sulphates, Antibiotics and Lanolin. It costs £10.99 for 50ml, £16.99 for 100ml and £3.00 for 15ml.
I use the daily face wash every day without fail and the gel serum and liquid spray whenever it is needed. They are my go to products whenever spots appear.
All of these products are suitable for ages 12 years+ and can be purchased from the Salcura website.
