I am sure as a parent you may have thought about getting an ID bracelet for your child. maybe if you are going on holiday or something similar, I know I have so when I was approached by the people at Safesport ID and asked if I would like to review a bracelet I had to agree.
My daughter is one of the most precious things in my life and I could not bare for her to get lost while on a school trip or while shopping. We hear every week about a child going missing, ok they are worse case senarios on the news but what if my daughter was wandering the shopping centre or a place that she had visited on a school trip and got lost. How many children would know details like address, phone numbers and if they had allergies?
Safesport ID bracelets do that for you in a smart silicone band, which seems to be all the rage at the moment as I would say about 80% of people that I see have some kind of silicone bracelet on their wrist. This silicone bracelet is a little bit special though, it had your child’s name on it along with mother and father, or other significant’s phone numbers and what illnesses or allergies the child has. Depending on the Safesport Id bracelet you decide to get it will either be engraved in to the bracelet or on a stainless steel plaque that can be fitted to the bracelet.
We chose to get the Safesport ID Mini, the main reason I chose this is because my daughter is almost 7 but has chunky wrists and as the kids ones are from around 2 years – 7 years I knew this would not fit. The Safesport ID Mini comes with 5 different sizes wristbands so I knew one of those would fit her perfectly and there was also a choice of colour and we decided on pink.
We received them very quickly and the plaque is exactly like I asked. It was a bit fiddly attaching the plaque to the wristband but after a couple of attempts it went on fine. I like that we got the Safesport ID Mini as it means that as my daughter grows she can still wear her wristband, as if anything changes, e.g phone numbers, allergies or illnesses I can purchase a new plaque on the website too.
The Safesport ID Mini cost €18.95 which may seem a little expensive but you cannot put a price on your child’s safety.
