My son is growing fast, he is so long it is hard to find things that fit him unless they have no feet in them. Cheap baby grows are just silly, buy from one shop and they are too small, buy from another and they are too big. Go by the weight guide doesn’t help. Maybe shops should sell them in height size?! We were offered the chance to review a Frugi Dinosaur Babygrow in size 3-6 months from Natural Baby Shower and to be honest I was debating getting the next size up for him as he seemed to be out of everything that size.
When it arrived I was very impressed with it. It is thick organic cotton, much thicker than others I have bought previously. They have integrated scratch mitts and poppers down the front and legs and it looked a good size and it looks as though there is more stitching on the seams to make it even stronger.
When I tried it on Zander I was very pleased with how it fit, in fact it was a bit too big for him to start with. There was plenty of grow and wiggle room. The feet were a good size so no more squished toes. I really like it and it suits him.
When I washed it I knew that there would be a chance that it may shrink a little especially when popped into the dryer. I am pleased to say there was no shrinking from what I can tell as it fitted him exactly the same the next time he wore it.
I love the dinosaur pattern even though I would steer away from green normally it really suits him.
Zander is 6 months old next week and he actually grew out of his regular 3-6 month clothes at 4 months old. Some clothes he is actually fitting 9-12 months already but the Frugi Dinosaur babygrow still has plenty of room in it for him. It really is generous in sizing.
I am definitely going to purchase more of these, maybe some different patterns, I know they are a little more expensive than regular supermarket babygrows at £18 each but they are thicker, bigger sizes and last a lot longer.
I would definitely recommend Frugi.
