We received a Deluxe LED Fogless Shower Mirror with squeegee by ToiletTree Products.
The mirror is guaranteed not to fog and designed not to fall.
I think this is a brilliant idea as do my family, We are constantly moaning in our house that the mirrors fog up when in the shower or after a shower when we need them.
The mirror has LED lights surrounding the outside edge or the mirror, it does take batteries but no water will get into the battery unit at all. As I did worry about this at first.
My daughters love the lights on the mirror, they say that it reminds them of actresses mirroes, this is perfect when my husband needs to shave so he gets enough light to see what he is doing properly.
The lights have three settings light up high, light up low and off. So pretty easy to use.
The mirror should be installed for the best results so my husband got to work soon after we received the mirror.
First he had to make sure the tiles in the showers were cleaned so there was no soap residue on the surface, he let it dry them wiped again. Now the instructions tell you to use rubbinh alcohol, but not quite sure what that is we used metholated spirits.
We used both the double sided tape and the whole tube of removable silicone adhesive which were provided in the box and stuck the bracket to the wall.
This needed to be left for 24 hours before we could actually add the mirror to it.
It did look a little strange just seeing the bracket there for a whole day.
When the 24 hours was over, well I think we actually left it a bit longer than that, we attached the mirror to the bracket.
Yay it looked a lot better than staring at the bracket!
We were then thinking well we have installed the mirror, but how is it fogless?
Back to reading the instruction leaflet.
There is a large reservior at the top of the mirror. When you want to use it as a fogless mirror you need to fill this with hot shower water.
We did this by taking the mirror off of the bracket, filling it then placing it back onto the bracket.
There was a moment when we did think with the water being in the mirror and the heaviness of it that it may actually fall off the wall, especially since you can adjust the mirror up or down.
Thankfully my husband did a good job as it did not fall off the wall.
It was time to test if it was fogless or not…
We have all used it on several occasions and I can honestly say that if you put hot water into the reservior the mirror WILL NOT fog up. It has been great. For the children it has helped them check to see if they have washed all of the soap out of their hair without the guessing and finding out after getting out of the shower that they need to rinse their hair more.
For me it is great when I am washing my face getting all the makeup off without smudges everywhere that before we had the mirror I would come out of the shower like a panda.
For my husband shaving after one of us have been in the shower or shaving in the shower.
It has been great for all the family.
Four weeks on and we are pleased to say the mirror is still on the wall firmly and it is getting plenty of use.
This has got to be one of the best ideas I have come across it is so handy to have.
We would all recommend it.
