Another month another great Degustabox, this month we got the Winter Box.
This is what we received in our box;
Hoots Snacks – We have flown by to bring you an exciting range of Hootingly good multigrain snacks, a delicious alternative to crisps. Hoots snacks are baked not fried, a great source of fibre and no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives are used. All flavours are suitable for vegetarians and vegans too!
As you probably know by now I have an allergy to pepper so I could not try the Salt and Pepper flavour of these but I did try the Salt and Vinegar ones. They are like dried slices of bread with flavour on them. I did like them although I felt it was weird having salt and vinegar with a dried bread slice. My daughter had the other ones and she must have liked them because one minute they were there the next they were gone.
Nutri-Brex – Each bite of Nutri-Brex Gluten Free Coconut & Crispy Rice packed with the tasty ancient grain Sorghum. Naturally gluten free, fortified with vitamins and high in fibre. A tasty hint of coconut and cinnamon makes this a delicious bowl of breakfast to really get you going in the morning.
I do not like coconut so I have not tried these myself, however my daughter does like coconut so I asked her to try these out. They are blocks of cereal like Weetabix but a bit smaller. She liked them and has been having these for breakfast most mornings.
Newton’s Appl Fizzics – A curiously refreshing blend of apple juice and sparkling water. All natural, with no added sugar or sweeteners – and about 40% less sugar than apple juice on its own. An ideal alternative to sugary soft drinks or (for adults) beer, cider or winter. Chill and enjoy!
We have tried this before, it is not a strong apple juice it is diluted and sparkling. It does taste night and my daughter loves it and has asked for some more to be bought.
a2 Milk™ – Not all cows milk is the same a2 Milk is different, it is easy to digest because unlike regular cows milk it is naturally free from the A1 protein which can trigger symptoms often associated with lactose intolerance*.
*a2 Milk™ is not suitable for cow’s milk protein allergy. If you have been medically diagnosed with any milk intolerance, seek advice from your doctor before use.
I have heard of a2 Milk before but never tried it. It tasted exactly the same as other milk, I don’t think any of the family even noticed they were having it.
Maggi 3 Minute Noodles – Totally tasty MAGGI noodles in only 3 minutes! Try our delicious chicken flavour today. Also available in beef or curry.
The Maggi 3 Minute Noodles are fantastic for a quick snack. My husband tried these and he said they were tasty, and everything you would expect from a Maggi product. A big thumbs up from him.
Eisberg – Eisberg is the UK’s number one alcohol free wine brand. Fresh and aromatic, Eisberg Sauvignon Blanc is brimming with gooseberry flavours and fruit – made in exactly the same way as your favourite wine but with the alcohol gently removed at the end and only 28 Kcal per 125ml serving.
This was in a tiny one serving bottle and looked so cute. I have tried Eisberg before and quite liked it. They do have a lot of other flavours to their collection too.
Bite+ Multi Grain Flakes – Bite+ is a new concept in snacking, comprising multigrain cereal flakes seasoned with savoury flavours, in a generous two-portion pack. Perfect in the lunchbox, or on-the-go, these tasty and nutritious snacks are high in fibre, low fat (less than 3%) and low in saturated fats, without compromising on flavour.
We received sour cream and onion flavour of these. They were like cornflakes with sour cream and onion flavouring on them. Unfortunately no one in the family liked them.
Gallo – An authentic and genuine Italian Four Cheese Risotto, with the characteristic creamy, delicious and ‘al dente’ texture of risotto and a tangy cheese flavour – ready in just 2 minutes in a pan or 3 minutes in a microwave.
My daughter had this for a quick tea. She really enjoyed it, she loves cheese and risotto and apparently the cheese was really tangy.
Bahlsen Lebkuchen Mischung – A colourful assortment of gingerbread pieces, decorated with glazing and our delicious chocolate. Perfect for sharing at festive gatherings with friends and family.
Gingerbread is a huge favourite in this house and we could not wait to try these little pieces of gingerbread covered in chocolate. They were really nice. They didn’t last long. These were my favourite of the 2 Bahlsen products in this box.
Bahlsen Akora – Bahlsen Akora are traditional German heart-shaped lebkuchen. They are filled with a deliciously spiced jam filling which fuses with the gingerbread base, enrobed in our delicious signature chocolate. From the moment you open the bag you release the very essence of Christmas.
These are heart shaped soft gingerbread with jam centre and chocolate covering. They were really nice and different, we all enjoyed these.
What A Melon – What A Melon – This new watermelon water hydrates like coconut water, with extra anti-oxidants and the muscle loving amino acid citrulline. Make sure to serve it cold!
We all love watermelon and was excited to try this. It tasted really nice and was very refreshing. I don’t think I would drink a lot of it though.
Oh Fudge! – Bristows “Oh Fudge!” Branded gift boxes, the perfect compliment to any occasion, especially the “Oh Fudge!” I nearly forgot…occasions.
These were apple and cinnamon fudge pieces in a lovely gift box. I love fudge especially original fudge, I wasn’t keen on this flavour though.
You can get a huge £7 off your first box which will cost you just £5.99 including delivery by using this code INCVF when registering on the Degustabox website.
