This Christmas, when drawing up lists of what to but friends and loved ones, why not have a look at the lovely present options available from Cancer Research UK?
This year the charity is offering an even more varied collection of high quality, festive and affordable gifts for less than £10 so you can save money whilst also supporting vital research.
The range, which includes quirky novelty soaps, decorative cushions and soft fleece blankets among many others, is in the charity’s 600 shops, with some additional items available online.
As well as making perfect stocking fillers for family members, there are fantastic ‘Secret Santa; gift ideas for friends or colleague.
What is even better is 100% of the net profits the charity makes from their collection will go back into funding its life-saving research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of all cancers.
Having had family members who have had various types of cancer I think this is a fantastic charity, I honestly didn’t know Cancer Research UK sold new things. I must live with my head in the clouds as I thought they were just second-hand shops. But no, they have AMAZING products for sale. Knowing that 100% of net profits go into the charity gives me all the more reason to purchase from them and help and worthy cause.
I chose one item to review that was sent to me for the purpose of this post, I also bought three items myself and will include them here too.
Winter Penguin Hottie
The Winter Penguin Hottie is a luxury wheat filled warmer with a relaxing lavender scent. It is the size of a mini hot water bottle and in the same shape.
The wheat bag is in the cover in the box. I removed the wheat bag as it was in packaging to preserve the wheat.
The cover is absolutely adorable with a baby penguin on it wearing a red scarf. So cute! It is 100% polyester but has a really soft feel to it.
It is ideal for cooler evenings to cosy up with and great to soothe period pains. The lavender scent is very relaxing and it really helps me unwind before bed.
Anyone who likes penguins will absolutely love this and at £3.99 it is an absolute bargain!
Usborne Mandalas to Colour Colouring Book
I love to colour, it is such a calming thing to do, my daughters also like to do it so I bought the Mandalas to Colour book for her as an extra Christmas gift.
Inside the cover, there is a description of what Mandalas are and 29 pages of Mandalas to colour in I am sure it will last her a long while.
A perfect gift for those who love to colour, it costs just £5.99
This novelty Penguin Soap will make the bathroom or kitchen look festive this time of year.
The soap is in a pump action 310ml bottle. It is not fragrant although smells soapy?
The kids think this is fantastic, pumping out the soap from the penguin. It looks cute in the bathroom too. I will definitely be filling it up again when the soap has all gone.
This costs just £2.99.
Soft Fleece Throw
The Grey Tartan Fleece Throw comes rolled and measures 150cm x 120cm which I think it’s a really good size. We chose to buy the grey tartan one because anyone can use it as it’s a neutral colour.
It is not super thick but not too thin either and it really does keep you warm.
Skye has been using it and it covers her from head to foot. She does look very comfy under it.
It is 100% polyester and machine washable, and another bargain at just £3.99
I hope this post has given you some ideas on Christmas gifts and also shopping with Cancer Research UK. They have a fantastic range and it’s well worth visiting the online store.
Disclaimer: One of these items were sent for the purpose of this post and the Christmas Gift Guide series. The other products I purchased myself. All thoughts and opinions are my own and not influenced in any way.
