I really enjoy Spring cleaning, I like sorting out my food cupboards, taking everything out, throwing away what is past its best and things we will never eat. The cupboards look tidier and cleaner. It is that time of year again and it was time that I had to think about doing a Spring clean. I was asked by Astonish if I would like to try some of their products that would be perfect for the job.
I was sent Mould & Mildew remover, Kitchen Cleaner, Window & Glass Cleaner, Bathroom Cleaner, Floor Cleaner and Oven and Cookware Cleaner.
As my first job was to blitz the kitchen I used the Kitchen clean along with the window and glass cleaner and floor cleaner.
The Kitchen Cleaner is a powerful cleaner that will cut through grease and dirt in seconds without leaving any residue. It can be used on kitchen surfaces, work tops, tiles and anywhere that grease builds up.
I used it on every surface in the kitchen, the work tops, inside and outside every cupboard and on the sink and draining board. The cleaner has a pleasant scent so is easy to work with and it cleans really well. I was happy with how clean my work tops, cupboards and sink looked after use. The next thing I did was use the floor cleaner. This was a really nice scent, lime and bergamot. Now I am not going to get a shiny floor no matter how much I scrub as the floor is a non slip floor and has a funny texture too it. However I could tell how well it was cleaning the floor as I did the back doorway first and my dogs are in and out of there a lot, much of the times with muddy paws. The floor did look very clean after I had cleaned it.
Once that was done it was time to finish the cleaning in the kitchen by cleaning the windows, I used the Window & Glass Cleaner they didn’t look particularly dirty but I was amazed at how much dirt was on the cloth. My windows are now nice and sparkly. The cleaner left no residue or smears.
I also used the Window & Glass cleaner on my glass furniture in the living room, I have a glass coffee table, tv unit and shelves. These pick up the dust really quickly, in fact I hate them because of this fact. They need cleaning every day else they look grubby.
The bathroom cleaner is fantastic, I managed to get hair dye on the white tiles but I hadn’t noticed until later that day. They were purple splatters and I thought for sure that it would stain the tiles. I sprayed the bathroom cleaner directly onto the splats and scrubbed using a soft scourer and it came off! I was so shocked. It also cleaner up the porcelain bath and sink up really nicely and the taps are gleaming.
I have not used the Oven & Cookware cleaner as my husband won’t allow me to use anything inside the oven, he pays a man to come and clean it and the top of the oven gets cleaned with the kitchen cleaner.
I also have not tried the Mould & Mildew remover yet, I will be when I decorate my downstairs toilet though, it is next to the utility room and the building is only 1 skin of bricks so it gets very cold in there and there is mould up the walls, at the moment it is not in use but I am hoping to get it back in use in the summertime so I will be using the mould & mildew remover on the walls in there to get them back to how they should look and then give them a lick of paint. I am looking forward to seeing if this is up to the job.
