Special K have a new product out in the shops now called Special K Multi-Grain Porridge and I was asked if I would like to try some.
As the weather is getting colder I must admit I do like a warm breakfast and my first choice is porridge so I had to try it.
I was sent Special K Multi-Grain Porridge in three different flavours, Red Berries, Almond & Honey and Simply Original and the next morning I tried the red berries flavour.
There are 7 sachets in the Simply Original box and 6 in the Red Berries and Almond & Honey boxes.
In each box there are individual packets of the 30g of porridge and full instructions on how to make it on the back of the packet.
I ripped the top of the packet off and poured the porridge into a bowl, filled the packet to the line with milk and poured that onto the porridge, mixed it up and popped it in the microwave two and a half minutes and let it sit for a another two minutes to cool down mixed it up again and ate it.
It was really nice to each a porridge that isn’t plain and it tasted so much better than just porridge oats with milk or water. The Red Berries added to the flavour and I really enjoyed it.
The Simply Original was nice although plain it did have a better taste than normal porridge.
I tried the Almond & Honey porridge and that was just as good, a different flavour and sweeter. I would say if I had to choose a favourite it would be the Almond & Honey one as it was the best tasting one out of the three.
Special K Multi-Grain Porridge is made with oats, barley and rye, it is naturally high in fibre and fortified with 7 vitamins and iron.
It is available in sachets and pots and available from all major supermarkets priced at £1.99 for the boxes of sachets and 99p for the pots.
I am giving away 3 months supply of Special K Multi-Grain Porridge to one lucky winner.
